Why are they forgetful liars?

Spoke to a Rag mate of mine yesterday and after chewing the fat for a couple of minutes i decided to do a bit of Wummery by bring up their crushing defeat to the Goons.

To my amazement his response was "i've said all season we'll win fuck all".

Now i might be cracking on a bit but my memories not that bad, as i'm sure a couple of months ago he was boasting with his Rag mates about winning some treble or other. Is it just me or are they all deluded forgetful liars?

Don't want to be rude, mate, but this isn't news. They've always been like that. It all stems from Sir Purplenose of Taggartshire, he's a complete liar as well.

On Sunday morning we had them all going on about Arsenal being no threat and a double was in the bag. Hmmm... And had to laugh at the pathetic rag on the Radio Manchester post match phone-in (after the City game) who was bemoaning us blues getting excited over winning one game and having a long way to go to catch United. So you can add ungracious and bitter to the list as well.

If they win nothing and we win the cup ...yes both are a big ask ...can we put a clock banner up ....pleaseeeeee

No Lee, we can't. We are above such childish behaviour. And no, we can't change our derby game to Everton either.

Spot on shaken, i got 8 texts last tues all saying 'when you dominate a Euro cup semi final you can celebrate' 'We will beat anybody with performances like that' and the classic 'i'm glad we lost the Fa cup semi coz it has give us a wake up call and we wont lose again this season'. Did'nt get a single reply to my 'Is it possible that u will win fuck all' question on sunday. Strange that.
