Agreed brazilians take at least 2 seasons to pick up the prem levels. Suarez for me every day of the week if we are spending big in a forward.

Think we need to spend more wisely. Players that have already proved themselves in the PL who aren't gonna cost £40 million plus. Good German/ Dutch/ Belgian players as their type of football is more similar to ours

Absolutely no way to anyone £50m or above, unless they have proven themselves in the PL for a number of years (a la Ronaldo). Especially Neymar. Doesn't look worth all the hype in my opinion. Falcao does, but at £52m it's a huge huge risk. Far too costly.

Mario Gomez is a shout but no way Bayern will sell. And he probably won't leave. Same with Schweinsteiger. Would Lampard really improve our team? Can't complain for a free transfer though.

Michu/Benteke - Could be one season wonders. So I'd say no to them two.

Rest I would say are definitely worth the punt. If United get Baines, Bale and Wilshere then that's it for the next few years I think.

I don't think we understand the importance of this next transfer window. It could potentially determine who will dominate for the next few years in my eyes.

We can't ensure our rivals don't buy smart, but we need to do better than them. Most people say RVP has made the difference - he played a big part early on in the season. If their is an auction for players like Bale, Wilshere, Mata, we should be the ones winning that auction if the players stays in the premier league.

TopDawg, that's exactly what I mean.

United buying RvP has made a massive difference. I still think the way we have played, we'd still be 2nd but he has given them a huge boost. Us, buying RvP would have panicked United and maybe resulted them in not buying smart? Who knows.

What I do know is, if that happens again next season, I'm afraid we may be screwed.
