Will Yaya leave?
Me thinks not and i'll tell you why.
According to the report, if Yaya doesn't get offered a new contract, he'll leave in May. However, to do this he'd have to buy out the remaining 2yrs of his contract.....which he can do under the FIFA rules in his clause. So let's work this out, £220k/pw x 104wks = £22.88m, now that's alot of money for anybody to find.
What i find strange about this is, why would Yaya and his advisors be trying to negotiate a new contact after only half of his 5yr contact had expired.......thought negotiations happened as players entered the final year. Think his agent must be running short of cash myself.

Re: Will Yaya leave?
City say they don't normally negotiate mid season. No one really wants to negotiate in the last year of the contract as the player has too much power.
Can't see him leaving myself. If he does, we could be the next Blackburn...

Re: Will Yaya leave?
Think you're right there Dawg, pretty sure City have already told him negotiations were to take place at the end of the season.
Can't see him leaving either, not so long ago he was saying he wanted to see out his career at the Etihad.....can't see thing having changed that much.
City'll never be the next Blackburn, they're in a league of their own.lol

If agents didn't exist, the world would be a much better place.

Yeah, but this IS coming from a paper that also considers this to be news:

I think the problem is that she doesn't see his point.
I haven't read the article. Are we talking girth here?

I'm glad about that! My point is for my wife's eyes only! Even I don't see it, but then I could stand to lose a few pounds. Does fifty count as a few?Jordan wrote:Leo, that's perfectly legitimate journalism. I don't see your point?

I wouldn't risk it Leo. You may lose some pounds and it may come off your point, and result in a divorce.

Hmmm, an interesting theory. I'd best leave it, then.

Re: Will Yaya leave?
He won't leave. He's seriously going to sacrifice a million quid a month, plus find £23m to buy out his clause, just because he wants a new contract which isn't going to pay him any more money?
This smacks of an agent desperate to buy a new car.
As Jordan says, agents make the world a worse place.

Re: Will Yaya leave?
Yaya's agent is probably the guy in the Sun. His wife has had enough of his pathetic antics and his embarrassing chode, and is taking him for all he is worth.
Hence, the feeble attempts at a threat towards the club.

Re: Will Yaya leave?
Why has the club been stalling with the contract for 6 months? Why has Silva's contract been agreed and signed but not YaYa's if its not about money then what does he want? Respect? Recognition? Love? In what form what does he want from the club to demonstrate these things? More information is required before we know exactly what this is all about, i'm sure that his Russian agent is behind it but i'm not sure what they are after if its not more money.

Not for the last 10 or 12 posts Jordan - we've all been feeling miserable since the defeat by the Toffs - no footie this weekend either. I was so miserable after last Saturday's match - I didn't go shopping and took it out on my better half.

I've had to deal with ALL my in-laws asking "what happened?" Thankfully I've been able to drown my sorrows in rum, beer, plenty of seafood ( inc. Octopus curry!) swimming in warm seas and watching amazing sun rises and settings nearly every morning..,kinda puts it into perspective a little!

Don't care! At least you were on holiday for that and not spending the entire weekend waiting to see if that feeling in your gut was going to leave by either the front or back door, while listening to your team get yet another pasting from those scouse bastards.Bewar3them00n wrote:Don't worry, I'm back in blighty Saturday ! Incidentally, it didn't leave until it was nearly time to go to work. You know, just to put the fucking cherry on

You sound like my brother! He nearly had a heart attack on the final game of the season!
I know what you mean about leaving by the front or the back door... Too much octopus curry does that too me too!

Re: Will Yaya leave?
Only 126 days til my jolly...not that i'm counting or anything . By that time i'll have had to go through a relegation at Bury (and eventual administration) and maybe a trophyless season at the Etihad, don't things could really get any worse.

Why do Chelsea think "£22m will be enough to sign him.....It'll just about buy his right leg that. There's no-way he'll be allowed to leave for less than we bought him for.

As well as agents f***ing off and making the world a better place, this also applies to rapists, pedophiles, bad hygiene, people who eat with their mouths open, wearing high heels in a club and THE SUN JOURNALISTS.

Re: Will Yaya leave?
True, that. I was reading "The Two Towers" the other day and there, on page 147, was this:Jordan wrote:You'll get more truth from reading The Lord of the Rings, than you would from reading The Sun.
"Look, young Frodo," said Gandalf, with the serious look again in his eyes, "You must take the ring to Mordor, but it will not be easy. In fact, it will be as difficult as trying to prise Yaya the Mighty from the East Lands."
So there you have it. From the great Wizard himself!
Oh, and I apologise for the swearies and general grumpiness yesterday, I had a return of the stomach ache, complete with a blinding headache and general dizziness. I hate feeling ill

Re: Will Yaya leave?
It's ok Leo. I accept you for the way you are, and I quite enjoy your occasional grumpiness.
I find it endearing if I'm honest.
Meanwhile, I know how you feel. I'm stressed at the moment trying to not only find a new job due to redundancy scares, but also viewing apartments to move in the next couple of weeks.
Who'd be 25 eh.

Re: Will Yaya leave?
I'd rather be 25 than 42 right now, if I'm honest. I enjoyed my job at 25. Although I'd rather have the 42 year old's salary to go with it. And the car. And the extra holidays. And the redundancy pay I've built up, too. But with the energy of the 25 year old me. Oh, and the much smaller midriff!
Good luck with the apartment hunting.
And as for the job - don't try and make yourself invaluable, because you'll just end up having all the crap jobs dumped on you. Just make yourself more valuable than some of your colleagues and you should be safe.

Luckily Leo I think our team is safe, so we've been told. However, I'm not taking any chances. I'm underpaid as it is so now I've got my PRINCE2, it's the ideal opportunity to start climbing the career ladder by moving on.

... and on page 132 was
"We wants it - we needs it - Must have the Precious"...
Seems like the Precious has slipped out of our hands this year though. Hope we do better in the Cup - or we'll be hearing from the mouth of Sauron again.

Re: Will Yaya leave?
speaking of moyes I was reading a match report of city v everton and moyes quoted as saying piennaar should not of been sent off his tackle on Barry was never a yellow and Garcia was barely touched and was rolling around making a meal of it. I can only assume those quotes were made right after the game without seeing the replays. From the tv shots I got piennaar was well late with his tackle and buried his studs in garcias leg. I also wondered did he watch anichebe's theatrics for 90 minutes a big guy like that going to ground if you as much as fart near him And we want a dickhead like that for our manager no thanks.

Re: Will Yaya leave?
I see today the pressin the uk say anzhi are looking at "unsettled city midfielder yaya toure " unsettled enough to say he wants to finish his career with city. One report last week said city's unhappy striker Sergio Aguero is being offered a way out by real Madrid. Is this the same aguero who only 2 weeks ago said he can see himself at city for at least the next 5 years.????
Why do they bother to print such crap. Better still why don't City make a stance and sue the bollocks of these papers for downright lies in there reporting.
