We all suspected FFPR wouldn't stand up in court...
A lawyer who helped win the landmark Bosman Ruling says new Uefa Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations would not stand up to a legal challenge.
The rules, designed to ensure clubs live within their means
over a rolling three-year period, do not come into full effect until the
2013-14 season.
But Jean-Louis Dupont said the rule "likely constitutes collusion and hence a violation of European Union competition law."

It won't happen, but it'd be great if there was a team containing the likes of Messi, Ronaldo, Cavanni, Falcao, Neymar, Xavi, Iniesta etc. as what would UEFA do then?
Would they seriously ban that club from European competitions?

I dont want to necessarily buy those particular players although obviously if they became available i would not say no. I am more concerned that we be permitted to improve our playing staff as and when we see fit without having financial constraints placed on us by jealous and greedy individuals and groups that do not want to share the cake with others that come along to gatecrash their party.
We are working at turning our finances around but to do that we have to be a viable and challenging club. This then generates more income from merchandising and success attracts more fans which generates income through increased gates etc etc. Some PL clubs and Platini want to hamstring clubs like City to protect the staus quo. Although Platini probably has a different agenda because he simply hates English clubs because we have dominated Europe for the last decade.
Take the FFP shackles off and lets fight the old guard head to head.

I think Roman's got the balls for a fight. Someone needs to make a stand.
If Jose comes back, I'd expect him t spend some serious money and no way will Chelsea comply.

How exactly would Monaco comply too, if as reported they're willing to give Mancini £170m to spend?
