Di Canio - The politics.
As everyone could expect, during Di Canio's first press conference this morning there was a number of questions directed to him in regards to his politics views.
Di Canio is obviously famous for the Nazi salute he performed following a game, his tattoo of Hitler's vassal Benito Mussolini and is regularly described as a fascist. So what do people think about his appointment? Should politics be brought into football? Should he have ever been appointment? Does it really matter what his views are when he is simply managing a football club?

I think it's a storm in a teacup really.
Personal views may be important, but why didn't the press bother with him too much when he was a player or manager at Swindon?

I find his rantings and escapades quite enjoyable. The game needs the odd crazy character just to give it that extra bit of fun. We all loved Ian Holloway when he was in the Prem, and think Di Canio will give us the same pleasure.

He played for the Owls for 10 years and was a firm fans' favourite. His politics are his concern - although he's not as amusing as Hollway.
