PSG after Nasri Empty PSG after Nasri

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/apr/16/samir-nasri-paris-saint-germain

Leonardo has suggested that Paris Saint-Germain could make a move for Manchester City's Samir Nasri this summer by describing the forward as a "great French player" whom the director of football would like to see at the club.

Although Nasri has recently performed better, his disappointing season has drawn criticism from Roberto Mancini and suggested his future at City is uncertain.

PSG will look to strengthen their squad in the close season and Leonardo said: "The market is opening up. We may look in Spain or England. The idea of seeing the great French players here is something I like. I'm not necessarily talking about [Karim] Benzema, but maybe [Samir] Nasri, [Franck] Ribéry or [Yohan] Cabaye. But I do not know if it is feasible and I have not had contact with any of them."

Nasri, who scored in City's 2-1 FA Cup semi-final win over Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday, cost £24m two summers ago and if the 25-year-old was sold the club would hope to at least recoup that outlay.

Carlo Ancelotti, PSG's manager, played down a move to bring Manchester United's Wayne Rooney or Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo to the club. "Wayne Rooney is one of the best strikers in the world. I think he is impossible to buy. He is an idol for Manchester United. On Ronaldo, there has never been an offer. I've never heard anything about Rooney or [Napoli's Edinson] Cavani either.

"I do not rule out big signings, but only if there is a suitable opportunity. We do want a larger squad with adequate cover in all areas in order to avoid the sort of problems we had in January in midfield with all the injuries and suspensions."

So? We sell, or do we hold on to him with the hope that he'll kick on into next season and show some of the world beating Arsenal form?

Have to agree with Shaken. We've had him for two seasons and we can count on one hand the number of games he's shown that Arsenal form. Let's get rid now while his stock is high and use the money to grab someone who'll put in a shift in every game.

We won't get anywhere near £30M TMG. I'd be happy for anything above £15M.
