Hang on a tick... Hasn't Gill left United to take up his post at the FA? And if so, wouldn't talking to Ronaldo about going back to the rags be a bit of a conflict of interest, or perhaps be an abuse of his position?

I don't think Gill has left yet.

Not a chance, let him be reunited with Gollum, and rot in the subs bench

Re: Rooney wants to leave...would you?
Right... so basically he wants one last big transfer before he buggers off.
Anyway, to answer the question: No. Never in a million years. Not if my life depended on it. Not if my kids' lives depended on it. Not if the entire world would die in a horrible, fiery comet collision type annihilation if we didn't. I don't want that ugly, badge kissing, pretend card waving, overhyped, arrogant granny shagging fucker at my club! I'd rather see us play in division 3 again than have him in our shirt! In fact, if he DID come to our club, I'd cut up my season card and go and support Stalybridge Celtic until he leaves!
Actually, I'd probably not do that last one. But I'd never cheer him. Bobby was right not to get him last time he kicked off, he'd do well to do the same again. Shrek is a loathsome, money-grabbing oik who thinks he's owed adulation from everyone and believes he can hold his club to ransom. If there's any justice, he'll end up going to PSG to be a bench warmer.

Re: Rooney wants to leave...would you?
Well, on the one hand, he's a cocky little shite who thinks it's okay to call fans who boo him when he plays badly, even though they've every right because they're paying to watch him. And on the other, he's a money-grabbing little twat who would think nothing of holding his club to ransom.
Tough call. I think, on balance, if I was forced to make a call, I think I'd have to say no...

I think we're all in accord here... Let's just hope the boys who make the actual decisions agree with us.

No way not ever. How can you call someone for the last 10 years, then support them just because they put on a sky blue shirt. I maybe a lot of things but Hypocrite isn't one of them.

I don't support him in an England shirt either. He's just a loathsome oik.
I get the feeling I've been overly vocal on this subject, so I'll shut up now

I'd have him immediately in my local team - King's Lynn need a sweeper - or was it a bog cleaner? The price would have to be right though - about £1.50 and a crate of sugar beet should do it.
