New Kits anyone?
Anyone seen these? thought I'd look to the future instead of dwelling on the past few days!!!
http://www.caughtoffside.com/2013/04/24/images-new-man-city-201314-home-kit-revealed-images-of-new-shirt-leaked/
Seems like the real deal, not overly impressed, but atleast it's not the shiny table cloth of UTD's!!!
seems similar to the 1st new retro kit we had

Re: New Kits anyone?
I think the top one is the more likely one, and the stripey blue one the training top.
The middle pic not to convinced, the red and black number is wrong with white sleeves, it should be black and red, no white!!!!!!!

There's a lot of fakes out already, one must be the right shirt!

Out of those, I'd say the middle one was the more likely. The dark blue one, which I suspect may be the third kit, is the same shade as the existing third kit and, like Moonchester, I like the red and black one.
The top one is very similar to the first Umbro/Etihad one (which I love and still wear to matches), but something says to me it's a mock-up.
The third one is a total fake. Look closer and you can see the artefacting of a piss poor photoshop job. If Nike present something like this, I'd sack them immediately!
The bottom one (which hasn't linked properly) looks like it's been thrown on a wet floor. It's utterly horrid!
I also found this, which I think might just be the right one:
I also found these - interesting design, might make the players look like they've got short torsos though!
I was also shown one which looks like the current Arsenal kit, but in sky blue instead of red. I've not seen that on the tinterwebs yet, though.

Re: New Kits anyone?
Is there even the remotest possibility of any of those becoming actual shirts? They are pretty cool, although I get the impression that they'd require us to be renamed "Manchester Titans" or other such Americanised bollocks. Just like has happened with rugby.

What, just the last lot of stripey ones, or any of them? I thought the one of just the home kit looked pretty good myself, but then it's all subjective...Topdawg wrote:I really don't like any of that last lot Leo.

The one with the home kit is pretty good. It was that last lot of 4 - simply awful.
I'd buy all those that were done by the city fan which are better than the ones I bought this year.

Yeah, that's what I thought... Those last 4 I posted were ones I found and thought, "Urgh, these look like Le Coq!"Topdawg wrote:The one with the home kit is pretty good. It was that last lot of 4 - simply awful.

Those ones created by a fan are head and shoulders over any design we've ever had from anyone, very cool indeed. I think Nike would do well to hire this person!

Re: New Kits anyone?
Seems we won't have to wait long to find out what the new shirt looks like...

With the season ticket renewals already under way and the new shirt being announced this afternoon, I can't help but wonder if the top brass are desperately trying to draw a line under this season as quickly as possible.

Re: New Kits anyone?
they were probably hoping to show off some silverwear, but Mancini put paid to that, so it will be a welcome change of scene for the players, they can all try and get back some of that team spirit that was missing this season.
Reports that we are closing in on Isco will be a welcome boost too, a type of player we should have brought in before letting AJ go, who knows how he might have played under a new manager?
I see Arsenal have secured a whopping £170m deal with Puma, just shows we have some way to go to have that pulling power, maybe if we'd won the title we would have got a better deal.

Re: New Kits anyone?
Arsenal have won less than Wigan in the last 8 years, how they can pull in such a monster deal is nothing short of impressive.

Re: New Kits anyone?
There is talk of Utd. negotiating a new deal around the £50M a season mark. That shows us how far behind we are in marketing ourselves.
Arsenal are looking at £30M a season for their deal with Puma, £30M a season for their deal with Emirates. They've also repaid the debt for the new stadium. They are going to have stonks of cash (if only they spend it wisely).
We've come a long way on the commercial income front but we have such a long way to go.
