Don't shoot the messenger............but reading this, you can put 2 and 2 together and see where this season, it has all gone wrong.

Re: Insight into Mancini?
The thing is, we have no idea what is made up bullshit just to sensationalise a story.
The 'brave' ex kit man didn't say anything until AFTER Mancini was gone. Not so brave after all.
I'm taking all such stories with a pinch of salt now.

Re: Insight into Mancini?
Far too much coming out of the club for my liking
Very poor media manipulation to justify his sacking isn't fooling anybody
Mancini certainly didn't deserve that

A club source said Mario made a pass at Mancini's missus and that was why he was sold on

The club are going way too far with this now. Our PR department needs a serious rethink, at least when it comes to the papers.

Re: Insight into Mancini?
I'd be surprised if at least half of it isn't true. Which half I'm not sure.
The club got into bed with the papers around the time of Hughes' sacking. I said at the time they should sue the pants off anyone making stuff up but they chose to befriend them instead.
I'm glad I don't live in Manchester and have to deal with friends taking the pish. Having said that, I'm thoroughly embarrassed by it all and I'm sitting 500 miles away.

Re: Insight into Mancini?
Mancini turned on his team's star player and told him: 'If you don't like it here then you can f*** off back to Argentina.'
I'm really sure he said that

No way would he have said. For starters, he didn't begin with "it eez important..."

And he also didn't use the phrase, "In this moment". So I agree, that one is utter cobblers.

No smoke without fire.
It's one thing Fergie ruling with an iron fist in the dressing room, someone who's done, and won everything, and Mancini, plus Fergie had the intelligence to know that using old school Clougie tactics don't wash anymore, and you needed to know when to put an arm around players.
Like I've said before, falling out with Vinny, criticizing him was probably the final straw, the FA Cup loss the final nail in the door of the last chance saloon, that hit him on the arse on the way out....
The more I read, the happier I feel about getting rid of him, and while some of it will be paper talk, some will be right on the money
Back to the future now, looking forward to tomorrow, the summer signings, the new manager, hopefully a not embarrassing new Nike Kit! and storming the league next season.

Re: Insight into Mancini?
As I've said before, the two Spanish fellas being appointed should have been a warning sign for Bobby.
I think it was finishing bottom of the group in the champs league that really sunk him. He could have bought another season if he'd won the league or maybe if it had been really really tight and we'd played well all season.
Even if we'd won the cup, he was long gone.

Re: Insight into Mancini?
Spot on Topdawg, the Spanish fellas as you put it was the 1st warning and i think the New signings will be controlled by them. Clichy just signed a new 4yr deal talk of early signings already without a Manager and also players going out.... If this happens the 2 Spaniards will in most cases be looking after transfers and Pellegrini or whoever we get worrying about what goes on on the field. Probably happened last year with Rodwell and Sinclair?
Re: Insight into Mancini?
There was 'talk' that Mancini had a list of transfer targets. no 1 targets (RVP, Martinez, Hazard, di Rossi etc.) no.2 targets and no.3 targets. We managed to sign some no.3 targets at the end of the transfer window.
I think this time around we'll snag at least one no.1 target if not 2.

Re: Insight into Mancini?
The fact that Mancini had nothing to do with the youth/ EDS teams didn't help, where players like Suarez/ Lopes should have been blooded a lot more they've looked as if they're just going thru the motions this season in the EDS, with no chance, or very little, of getting a run out in the 1st team, even Sinclair would have come on if given more than pathetic little crumbs from Mancini, you could see his confidence drain away each time he came on, charged with saving a game with 5 mins to go.....
Hopefully, with Paddy in charge, and a more "Holistic" approach to youth development as the Academy comes on line next year, we will have more youngsters getting extended runs in cup games or even the prem

Re: Insight into Mancini?
Sometimes, you have to go backwards to go forwards. Bobby didn't want to take too much risk with the kids in any competition this year.
We should have had a good mix of kids and experienced players in the league cup but we embarrassed ourselves in that.

Re: Insight into Mancini?
What was embarrasing was the second string players were basically outfought by a hungry villa side who wanted it more
Some of the performances in that game were shameful

Re: Insight into Mancini?
Strong rumors today that Falcao will be first. Not sure about the 50m but that pass in the Copa Del Ray was sublime for the 1st Athletico goal. He is built very similar to Sergio and Carlos though, is there room for another like that, if he comes one must be going?

Re: Insight into Mancini?
Judging by the wave that Tevez gave this afternoon when he was subbed, I suspect your answer might lie there. Falcao for Tevez.
