Vinnie going nowhere either
Direct quote on twitter from Vinnie an hour ago "Speculations and questions about next season.. I'm not going anywhere. I love playing for City and I've still got some unfinished business."
Just get these signings right and we are back .....

Re: Vinnie going nowhere either
Didn't know where to put this, so apologies it's probably in a completely wrong topic....
I missed the game last night, but read a few articles and a lot of social network posts, of Joe Hart's distribution getting absolutely slated. We've been saying this for months! If anything, it would seem his use of the ball in play is getting worse.
I truly think Pellegrini will be a blessing here. Teams in Spain seem to use their keeper as a kind of sweeper, moving the ball back to him and then he keeps possession sending it out to the field, something Joe is completely inept at doing currently! Hopefully a bit of coaching from the Spaniard way should help him improve on this.

Harts distribution was poor last night, much the same as he's been this season, that said though, his overall performance (especially 1st half) was brilliant. If it wasn't for him, we'd have been playin for pride in the 2nd half. The commentator did actually say the full backs (Baines and Johnson) aren't really giving Hart any options, but no excuse for continually kicking it out of play.
Glad to see Vince has quashed those tabloid rumours once and for all.
Out of interest, are there any players that have actually said they want to leave?

Re: Vinnie going nowhere either
I watched the entire game and I'd agree that Hart's distribution was appalling, but only when he used his feet. Throwing the ball out, he's very good and on one occasion he launched a 30 yarder to Johnson out on the wing and it got to him, no problem. But that camera behind his goal saw him booting balls out that were curling inexorably towards the touchline, just like he's been doing for ages.
That said, he was on top of every other aspect of his game and it earned us a draw, which ain't bad against a country that haven't been beaten at home by a European side since we did it back when Ox's dad was in the side.

Re: Vinnie going nowhere either
Thought Hart had a fantastic game last night, apart from his kicking, he was unbeatable! Thought Milner had a good game, apart from Gareth Soutgate slating his performance in the 1st half, which was pretty wide of the mark.
Walcott was his usual headless chicken, Baines was crocked after the 1st 10 mins or so, say him holding his groin and wincing, wondered why it took so long to replace him?
Rooney and Walcott don't gel, they were totally out of step in almost every move, no wonder we looked awful in the 1st half.
Thought we were on for another famous win, I remember watching the 1984 game and JB's wonder goal, how we would kill for a player of that stature now in the side, instead we have 2 left feet Walcott... pfffftttt...

Someone's wearing their John Barnes tinted goggles! I remember the goal, too, plus many more minutes of pure genius from the man, but I also remember the countless hours of him plodding about and doing bugger all.
So, in Rooney and Walcott, we have John Barnes times two

Well, maybe, it was 29years ago... ! but those two were average last night against a Brazil team that are pretty average, why he starts with Walcott when Defoe is a far smarter player, if you must put Walcott on, use him after an hour to exploit his pace against defence....

Re: Vinnie going nowhere either
Joe fired a 30 yard pass to Walcott who had taken up a good forward position, Walcott took the pass down then played it 15 yards back to Milner??WTF? He never takes on the fullback with his electric pace, the useless little shit.

the number of times Walcott had the ball and should have moved forward but didnt. then when he does he isn't in any way clinical enough.
If an Aguero or any other decent forward had been on even Defoe to some extent they could have buried a couple last night.

Hart's distribution was once again shocking ! He kicked the ball straight out on at least 2 occasions & the rest wasn't much better. Someone really does need to have a word
