David Moyes has made a cracking start to the pre-season with his first game in charge.  He has obviously been taught well by the puppet master, as can be seen from the post-match quote in the article:

It wasn't a brilliant result but this wasn't one we desperately needed to win, it is one we needed to get prepared to win games.
Yes, it appears that he's already acquired a talent for brushing off a defeat!  And he also managed to get the press onside too, by getting them to mention that he was missing some key players.

I suspect this may well blow up in my face, but since I'm amongst Blue friends here, I suspect I'll be safe Smile

Pre-seasons are always dodgy with teams raising their game against you....we'll see that tomorrow.............but still, Gollum loses his first game, is always a lovely feeling!!!

I agree Wensdi, but he can hardly get rid of the likes of Yaya etc. whereas Sinclair needed to take his chance.

Pre-seasons aren't to be taken too seriously as they always are about getting playing time into the players and seeing some of the others.

Just like United, it's about looking at the players rather than the result.

In the immortal words of Roger Mellie:  Fucksticks!

I watched chunks of the last 20 minutes and we were doing our usual trick of dominating play utterly, then getting hit on the break while our defence was pissing about and not marking anyone.  Milner looked good.  Other than that, nobody else looked especially bothered.

And nobody looked like they were bothered about winning the ball in the box.

In the immortal words of another Roger, Daltrey in this case:  Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
