Does the wildcard have to be used "in the window"?

You can change the teams as many times as you like using your wildcard...until you've played it that is...

Re: Fantasy football
He's back next week. It's a play off between changing your team now with Sergio in it and not play him or lose points on your injured players.
I've got him on my sub bench for Sunday and playing an extra MF player.

Re: Fantasy football
I had to play my wildcard this week as I had far too many injuries to my squad. At least 5 or 6 were injured. Checked in this am after rumours Rooney would be out for a few more weeks and I had 5 injured players and a reserve keeper who has scored 2 points all season.
I'm worried Pellers will rest Yaya and won't start with Sergio either.

Sergio won't be playing more than 60 minutes I reckon, if that. Still, might be enough for a couple of goals!

Re: Fantasy football
True, but right now he's at £11.9m, which is a pretty sizeable drop and I'll have made over half a mill on him!
Annoyingly, though, I can't afford Serge, Nedge and Suarez unless I kill my midfield. Damn!!

Re: Fantasy football
Fuck! I've got it down to £1m more I need to find, but I'm really having to pinch now... (subs in brackets)
Mignolet (Mannone)
Mertesacker / Shaw / Coleman (Chester / Mariappa)
Hazard / Sterling / Yaya / Livermore (Colback)
Negredo / Suarez (C) / Aguero
Who the crap do I change now? The obvious targets are Yaya and Hazard, but they've been keeping me in it lately.

Re: Fantasy football
I had to get rid of Yaya at £10.1m and keep Silva. With Aguero back, he'll take over penalty duties. It was the only way I could get Negredo in my team with £0.1m to spare.

Re: Fantasy football
I can only get £9.6 for Yaya because I've had him in my squad for so long (I only paid £9.1 for him). It's really irritating as he's the most likely candidate to switch, but Silva isn't £1m less than I'd get.
This is really annoying, but I guess I'm just going to have to go for it... Yaya for Lallana. Let's hope he does something now!
And I'm not shipping out Hazard, he's most likely going to turn United inside out this weekend.

Re: Fantasy football
Leo, for starters Mannone is too expensive (£4.5M) for a back up keeper. If Mignolet gets injured, transfer him out. That's 500k saved straight away.
The way i see it, the keeper gets you 6 or 7 points maximum. A top striker can get you 15 points+ in a match.
You could even use Mannone as your number 1 and get a cheapo in as your reserve and save over £1.5M.

Re: Fantasy football
I think Yaya has suddenly sat deeper over the past month and Fernandinho seems to be the one bombing forward, so Yaya hasn't produced massive points for such an outlay.

Re: Fantasy football
All very good points. My only thing with having a reserve keeper who actually plays means I get points if my main keeper doesn't play at all, but I take your point, at worst I'll lose 2 points over an entire season. Don't think I'd want Mannone as my main keeper, though...Topdawg wrote:Leo, for starters Mannone is too expensive (£4.5M) for a back up keeper. If Mignolet gets injured, transfer him out. Re: Fantasy football
OK, switching Mannone for one of the cheapest 'keepers available and suddenly I can upgrade Livermore to Wilshere...
Team value of £104.1 million. Which is brilliant, usually my team is worth less than I started with by now.

Re: Fantasy football
Oh, for heaven's sake... All that effort getting Serge back into my team, he gets me a goal and an assist, but look at who I dropped to get him:
Jay Rodriguez
Yaya Toure
Yohan Cabaye
And they all scored. Cabaye twice. Nineteen points. Shit.
I decided against switching Nedge for Dzeko, wish I'd done that now, too - one goal and one assist versus a yellow card. And as for Suarez, what a fucking waste of time having him as captain

I wouldn't worry....another shocker for me this week....your name will sit nicely above mine Dawg if Hazard plays anywhere near his best form.
One month ago...sitting nicely 35 points clear....now probably down to 7/8th after tomorrow.

Re: Fantasy football
Don't forget your teams tonight - before 19:30.
Be interesting, as several key players in many teams are 50-50 of playing, some are not due back for another week, but likely to play.
Pick wisely, or take a risk?

Yeah i know what you mean blue, i've left Silva and Coleman in my team.....as i had to take Lucas out as my free transfer. Tbh, even if said 2 don't play, hopefully my subs will and i'll have a full complement anyway.
To make any moves up the table it's time to start gamblin, so it's king Sergio of Aguero as Capt this week......i'm expectin another hat-trick from him tomorrow

Yeah, i've left in Silva and Coleman - and included Negredo and Barkley....gotta go for it after a month of shocking points! Also, I've done the same and made Aguero my Captain, as it is the Merseyside derby.
Will check later this afternoon....see if there is any more news.
