As Jamie Oliver is going to be cooking my pre match burger, does that mean it will be edible?

Hart
Richards Kompany Lescott Clichy
Fernandinho Yaya
Navas Jovetic Silva
Negredo
Statement of intent on the pitch tonight is what's needed
Neither Chelsea or the rags looked anything special over the weekend,a good thumping should set down a marker

Bang on Pplf, solid and commanding performance needed, with a few goals and more importantly a win to boot.
With both the Rags and Chelsea off the mark, it's imperative we get off to a good start too.

Re: New signings
PPLF, disagree about Chelsea. They looked brilliant to me, albeit against a newly promoted side.
Why is TopDawg the only person to pick our most consistent player during pre-season - Milner?
For me;
Hart
Richards Kompany Lescott Clichy
Fernandinho
Navas Milner Silva
Negredo Dzeko

I thought 2nd half Chelsea were awful and better sides than hull would've got something from the game

Re: New signings
I'm with PPLF. Chelsea looked irresistible for most of the first half, but the second half was very average indeed and a better side would've clawed back the 2 goal deficit.
And United were no better than Swansea, aside from van Persie.
We need to decimate Newcastle.

Re: New signings
I'm going for Dzeko to start, he's been on form and hes my dream team capn.. :p
Swansea were all over united without working de-gay boy in goal. Nothing special from the red half. Missed chealsea, but all accounts good 1st half bobbins 2nd. Spuds scraped a win, arsenil absolute crud.
Maybe Bin dippers in with a shout thsi year

Re: New signings
Maybe I shouldn't have commented as I did only watch the first 55 minutes.
They did look scary in the first 45, but if they can't keep it up then that's good news. However, they may have just took it easy as they knew Hull wouldn't be much of a threat.
I'm quite confident for tonight. I'm going for a cheeky 3-0 win. I just hope he starts with Navas.

Re: New signings
I want more than that. I want a 4-0 at least. I know I'm being greedy, but I've already seen rags getting ahead of themselves, commenting on being top of the league, and not aided by Lineker saying the same thing on MoTD. Yeah, top of the league when there's still six teams to play, three of whom are the biggest rivals. Fucking rag sympathisers.Jordan wrote:I'm quite confident for tonight. So yes, I want a mahoosive victory, to put us on top until Wednesday, if only because I'm feeling an especially spiteful bastard who wants to see all these butt kissers squirm!
Looking at the fixture list for this week, I expected Chelsea, with two relatively easy home games, to be 3 points clear at the top, but if Villa manage a cheeky result at the Bridge, they'd be top of the league come the weekend, despite one of the hardest starts imaginable. And I'd find that hilarious.

Re: New signings
I'm hoping for a convincing win as we have a far superior team on paper, and i want to see us turn it on big time and send out a declaration of intent.
However, i still can't shake that old Cityitis feeling lets hope we don't do an Arsenal and implode.

Re: New signings
My hope is that we can duplicate the first half against AC Milan. If we were to do that we would really send out a message to all the others. But being City we can only live in hope,I am glad that Aguerro is fit again and that Navas is starting:)

Re: New signings
Was 14-1 advertised just before kick-off. Joked with a Liverpool mate that a tenner oe even the free £50 bet for new joiners would be worth a punt.leopold wrote:I wish I'd put a bet on this now!leopold wrote:I want more than that. I want a 4-0 at least.
Should've seen me in the last few minutes - especially after the Negredo goal was disallowed. Wasn't quite the same instensity as May 13th 2012, but he had a chuckle at me.
