Zabba signs new deal
Pablo Zabaleta, everyone's favourite player from last season, has signed a 4 year contract to keep him at the club for the next four years. And just in time for the first game tonight.

Good news? I'm sure Micah Richards would rather not have such stern competition for his place in the squad, but given that Zab was one of a very small minority of players who actually gave everything in every game he played last season, I reckon we fans will all be delighted to see him commit his future to us.
I especially liked his response to the question of what he considers when signing a contract extension - he doesn't even think twice!

Fully deserved his player of the year award,in all honesty there wasn't anybody to challenge him for it
Top pro, always gives 100% and I'm delighted he wants to spend the majority of his career at our club

I just get the feeling Mica would go if he got the chance. Too many rumours this summer really.
Will be interesting to see who starts tonight?

Arsenal apparently sniffing at him - but then, along with others, they've been doing that all summer with anyone that would improve their team and getting royally knocked back 'cause no-one would actually want to join them!
Every failure is another well-publicised dent in their credibility - and a signal that something most definitely isn't right...

I am delighted that Pablo has signed on but i am disappointed that Micah did not even make the squad and Arsenal sniffing around looks like that may be the reason, i think he will soon be a goooner or a gonner anyway.
