Re: New Footy Quiz
There's a bigger city than Bath that hasn't had a league side? I'd best have another think...
17. The last one is Stevenage. I was just looking at a mate's wall on facebook. His name is Steve. The penny dropped!

Re: New Footy Quiz
2. Wilson is an English name and presumably his father's. But Guiseppe is Italian and I suspect, if his mum got naming rights, he'd probably be brought up as a good Italian boy. So my guess is, he played for Italy.
(Now watch it be Peru!)
10. I'm guessing it's a city with more of a rugby connection than a football one. And all of the places I could think of with rugby teams also have league sides, and a lot of them are towns rather than cities. However, I'm not sure if this place has a league team, but I think it's a city: Wakefield.

Re: New Footy Quiz
10. You can't really have the metropolitan borough or districts (such as Wakefield District). If you did that, Oldham would have about 225,000 which is absurd as Oldham town itself has about 70,000.

Re: New Footy Quiz
I checked it out and Wakefield is a city in West Yorkshire. Yes, it also has a metropolitan borough (as does Oldham, Manchester, Leeds, London, Sheffield, Leicester... do I need to carry on?), but as a city in it's own right it has a population of almost 77,000 - if Wikipedia is to be believed.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wakefield
But let's not take away from this the fact that I lucked out on the answer, because I was toying with saying Winchester!

1 is going to be something obvious, isn't it? Okay, Queen of the South. Berwick Rangers. St. Mirren. Partick Thistle. Glasgow Celtic. Glasgow Rangers. Forfar Athletic. Dundee United. Heart of Midlothian. Motherwell. East Fife. Erm... Aberdeen... I can't think of any more off the top of my head...
