Andre Mariner
What a disgraceful decision........just been watching the last 15 mins online.....how the fuck he can give that as a penalty when he is standing 10 yrds behind it in a perfect position, is nothing short of incompetent.
And they wonder why referees get stick.....woeful!

Re: Andre Mariner
It was either incompetent or downright cheating and the manager should have every right to say so to the press afterwards without fear of punishment.

Re: Andre Mariner
Totally agree Dawg...but these PL rules whereby you're not allowed to say anything about refs, before or after the game are a disgrace.
So it's OK for a ref like Mariner to make such a fucking howler...and they are protected, and don't need to say anything to the press after the game.....but PL rules say that a manager HAS to agree to be interviewed, or their assistant, get questioned on a shit decision, but cannot say anything for fear of a ban or fine?
The PL and the Ref's association are bunch of wankers....simple as that.

Re: Andre Mariner
Cock munching crunching wankers. These decisions can make the difference between a club staying up or going down. They can make the difference between the club having the money to take a couple more kids on their books or not. There will come a time in the not too distant future that a club takes the Premier League or a referee to court. Sheff Utd got a few million quid off West Ham a few years back.

Re: Andre Mariner
The disgrace is when you see the decision not to award a penalty to city when silva is scythed down in the area v Chelsea last season & then you see that one yesterday. same ref double standards?

Re: Andre Mariner
So....Mourinho gets interviewed after the game and states:
"I am very unhappy with the referee, he made lots of mistakes today, but not for the penalty" ....."I am the one who should be upset at his performance, he never gave a free kick for their second goal"...."but he's a good referee"...."it was a clear penalty, i've watched it 2 or 3 times"
On the other hand....Steve Clarke doesn't say anything about the referee and shows a bit of class.
Will The Special One get another fine and ban? Will he fuck.

Re: Andre Mariner
It is proper double standards, why do managers defend things like that. He got the point, why didn't he just say, we were lucky it wasn't a penalty, would go up seriously in my estimations if he did.

Re: Andre Mariner
Because that shows weaknesses in his team.
As you said, he could've said we were lucky to get the penalty, however, we basically battered them and peppered their goal in the 2nd half, so a little luck was what we deserved today....

Re: Andre Mariner
Anyway they still dropped 2 points at home. Really need Gooners and Scum to draw today and it's all bunched up again.
Sunderland are due one today after their total flukes the last couple of years.
