City vs Swansea
Just waiting for team news. Swansea are a decent team and I think they can cause us plenty of problems as they should be able to keep the ball fairly well.

Big let off just before half time. DM doing one of his special dive ins and missing the ball. Maybe good job he missed the man as well or he'd have been off.
Giving Swansea way too much of the ball. Most of their chances have been from long shots but one will go in sooner or later if we keep letting them have so much possession.

If only we had a De Jong type player in the middle!

If we dont start closing them down in MF, they will win this game !

Re: City vs Swansea
Yaya and Fernando are all over the place in MF. They are pushing far too forward leaving loads of space behind. Swansea are the better team and deserve to be level. Get your fuckin fingers out you two!!!

Glad for Nasri and his 2 goals. Good use of the subs today MP. Milner and Kolorov were the right decisions...but Dzeko? Still can't trap a ball for toffee!

Re: City vs Swansea
Kolarov was a greedy wanker taking long range shots and trying to take on players half way inside his own half.

Re: City vs Swansea
I don't think we played especially badly - we didn't close down enough, granted, and De Guzman gave us a huge let-off in the first half, but I could see the tactic was different. Against Norwich and Spurs, it was a case of playing into their open game. Swansea were much more closed as a team, so letting them play and hitting them on the break was a good idea and it worked in the end.
And Nasri was on blistering form, yet again. I can't wait to see if he can translate that to an away performance on Wednesday.

Now I'm torn... Do I do the same because he's not scoring or do I keep him as captain in case it's you that's jinxing him? Re: City vs Swansea
Surely you have to have Suarez as captain. A home game against Norwich should be at least 2 or 3 goals.

I've got Giroud and the 2 City lads up top now.....Giroud (at home to Hull) will lead my side, hope Aguero n Negredo make me rue my reluctance to choose them though.

Re: City vs Swansea
I heard that Wenger was going to rest Giroud against Hull so he could save him for more difficult games later in the month (CL and City). He was just going to play with 6 MF (Flamini, Carzola, Ozil, Ramsey, Arteta, Wilshere).

Re: City vs Swansea
Shelvey the Liverpool reject was controlling the midfield for them in the first half and i was screaming for somebody to close him down. He had at least 3 decent shots at goal which pants was forced to make saves from, because he was being allowed to run into dangerous areas unchallenged, crazy.
I don't care what the gooners do against Hull as long as we keep winning or should i say start winning as it's an away game?

Re: City vs Swansea
1st half i was shouting close them down all the time as we gave far too much space. Why do we jockey the players going further and further backwards until we make a tackle (usually near the box) Yaya just cant tackle so if we have to play him make just behind the strikers. Fernandinho is the only one who puts his foot in and makes a decent tackle.
2nd half we seemed to push up and take control.
It's ok to play like that at home because our quality will always pull us through. Against teams away we need to use Milner IMO

Re: City vs Swansea
I agree, we can get away with playing Kolarov and even Garcia (choke) in home games because we have the quality all round to still win games. Away games are a different proposition and Garcia for one should be nowhere near the team. I too would plat Milner more in away games, it's a squad game and we should be mixing it up and not playing the same teams home and away, it's not working and i hope MP has realised at last.
