Football schedule is unfair
City played Saturday and play again on Wednesday whereas Utd played on Sunday and play again on Tuesday.

Re: Football schedule is unfair
He's a twat that David Moyes, he really is.....
Shit football team, can't motivate, doesn't have any authority over the transfer policy, still has to bow down to Slur Alex's legacy and Woodward's buying philososphy.......and now he goes and makes sure his team play on a Sunday, followed by a Semi-Final 2 days later....what a twat.......
Still, I guess the United fans are right behind him......... aren't they? Surely they are....they're a really loyal bunch

Re: Football schedule is unfair
Well, we played on Boxing Day and again two days later, the only team in the top 8 who did. What's Moyes' point?

He hasn't been complaining about the scheduling, I am just having a cheap laugh at their expense.
TBH, I'm a bit surprised he hasn't complained. Maybe if they lose by a couple of goals he will.

Re: Football schedule is unfair
Moyes is clinging to the hope that they reach the final and maybe win the thing. He knows CL is a fantasy and PL probably is too especially without RVP and Rooney. Top 4 is going to be a bit of a squeeze for them as well unless they go on a very good run.
Slur Alex got away without winning anything for a while because times were different. There was no share value that would tumble if you lost a few games. No investors getting worried if income wasn't as much as predicted.
Losing in the 3rd round of the FA Cup will cost them maybe a few million. Missing out on CL footy will cost them nearer £30M. That is starting to get serious for them. Players won't want to come if they see that it'll take a few years to turn things around and even then they isn't any guarantee with City getting stronger and others too. Arsenal can go and buy 1 or 2 world quality players every summer now that they have paid for the stadium and got themselves some very lucrative sponsorship deals.

Well, can't fault you for thatTopdawg wrote:He hasn't been complaining about the scheduling, I am just having a cheap laugh at their expense.
The bigger issue they're going to face is not the potential future loss of earnings, but the fact they've already seen their share value drop by £220m since Moyes took over:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/manchester-united/10550179/Manchester-United-manager-David-Moyes-sees-tenure-marked-by-220m-being-wiped-off-stock-market-valuation.html
The drop in the club’s value dates back to early October. Although United’s share price rallied in late November, following the announcement of positive forecasts of annual turnover in quarterly accounts, the loss in value since early December has coincided with the team’s inability to break into the top four.
Oh dear...
