Who do you want to win tonight?
As good as it'd be to stuff the Rags at Wembley, i personally want Sunderland to get through.
The thought of the Rags getting through and then somehow beating us would be so hard to take from their deluded and gloating fans. We owe Sunderland one after our 26th consecutive away defeat to them (well it seems like that ), plus if we lost to them it wouldn't be as hard to take.
For the record, i do think the Rags'll get through tonight.....oh eck!

I'd rather the Black cats got through as well. The first 20 minutes or so will be vital for Utd especially without RVP and Rooney.
Could they both leave at the end of the season?

Re: Who do you want to win tonight?
But on the other hand to put 6 past Moyes at Wembley would do them the world of good.
I can't see another Wigan farce though, that was all down to a toxic dressing room, just not going to happen this time.
Personally I will take either of them.

Said last night....not bothered, but giving United a fisting at Wembley would be good, although, watching them crumble at home again tonight, would be equally pleasurable.
By March, Sergio, Alvaro and Edin will be in full flow, Nasri will be back fit, we'll have a top class CB in place.....and if United get through, can't wait to see Fernandhino kick Mata all over the Wembley turf!
So - not bothered either way....as MP keeps saying, "it's all about us, we don't worry about what the opposition do".

Utd
Giving them an absolute pasting will kick us on to win the league and the world will be watching
The rags shares will be in freefall

Only 26? Feels like a lot more to me. Although the final won't be at the SoL, so perhaps we might be okay.shakencity wrote:We owe Sunderland one after our 26th consecutive away defeat to them (well it seems like that )
Are you thinking of the FA Cup final there, Bluey? Can't see Mata actually going to the rags. Granted, he'd walk into their squad, but surely he'll want CL football next season? Plus, will the rags really splash £40m on him, when they wouldn't go that high for Angel di Maria?blueboy wrote:can't wait to see Fernandhino kick Mata all over the Wembley turf!
On the one hand, I'd like us to get Sunderland because I'd stand half a chance at getting tickets for the wife and kids for the final and because I think, bogey team stuff aside, we should be able to beat them. On the other hand, getting the rags would make for a brilliant atmosphere and beating them there again would be far more satisfying. That said, if we lost, I'd rather we lose to Sunderland. I don't think I could stand to hear the raggies gloating.

Re: Who do you want to win tonight?
I think they have started to get a little more nervous since then and the fans are squirming in their seats so i reckon they might go for Mata just to be seen to be signing a good player and look as if they are trying to replace or improve their average team in this window rather than wait until the summer by which time their problems could be worse. Hopefully

Unless chelsea are getting rooney in return,it sems a bit short sighted strengthening a rival, which they are likely to be next season

Re: Who do you want to win tonight?
Chelsea have played Utd twice this season, it's actually a good move if he has no future there, he can play against us and the Gooners which helps Chelski.

Get Garcia to man mark him, that'll keep him quiet for 90 minutes

Re: Who do you want to win tonight?
If Chelsea sell Mata for £40M, they'll have plenty of cash sloshing around to fund a new striker acquisition. Let's be honest, with a proper striker this season, they could have been well clear of the pack.
Utd. may well be a rival next season, but Utd. are still playing catchup and I only think they'll get near where Chelsea and City are this season whilst we move forwards.

Does it matter they are both dire! What a crap game. No idea why we lose at SOL and what has happened to Adam "1 trick pony" Johnson since he left us. Does nothing but run into defenders.

That Mata bid at £40M is coming. Mourinho can hold out for £50M at this rate.

Ten penalties and only three scored. Four saved. We should win the final after that crappy showing!

Re: Who do you want to win tonight?
They said he's signing. Surely he could go to a good club back in Spain or PSG???
Maybe he looks at Utd as offering him regular games (only 16 mind you) for the rest of the season.

What a shame if he goes to OT - I always loved him - I won't love him in a red shirt though.

Re: Who do you want to win tonight?
Well well well, absolutely fantastic.....well done Sunderland.
After watching that last night, if we can't beat Sunderland then we might aswell give up now. I know it's a final n all that (al la Wigan), but as Dawg said, we should really be sticking 5 past um.
As regards Mata going to Utd, can't really see it making all that much difference. Rooney or VP will probably be going at some time, so they'll still be a decent player light....and as for the rest of their midfield and defence, well, they need another 5 players to replace the dross they've currently got.

BREAKING: Juan Mata can't sign his 5-year contract with Manchester United, because all their pens are shit.

If there's any truth in this article, it seems RVP has been holding off playing despite the fact the physios have passed him as fit.shakencity wrote:As regards Mata going to Utd, can't really see it making all that much difference. You have to wonder just how keen he is to play again. When you look at Serge, how he tweeted his return to fitness and how eager he is to get back on the pitch, it makes van Pussy look either soft or unwilling. And I doubt he's soft, because he never delayed going back out for Arsenal.
