Jesus Navas has lightening pace and does come back to help out the defence but it is attack that we want him to do better. He seldom gets past his man unless he is chasing onto a pass and his crossing from corners is pretty woeful.

Can't he learn any new tricks? What about a simple stepover? I'm a slow 45yo but even I have learnt that trick recently. Navas just needs something to confuse his man a little and his pace will do the rest.

Until he can provide more of a telling contribution, he'll always be on the bench when the whole squad is fit.

I think that is a little unfair Dawg. He has given us a bit of width and an option B.

Don't forget he has the 2nd most amount of assists for us in the league, more so than Zaba, Nasri or Aguero and only 1 less than Silva. He's had a great first season in my eyes.

Sweep did it for 9yrs at City yet people loved him Dawg....he annoyed the shit out of me, but that's a different subject.

I think Navas has had an ok season tbh, admittedly he struggled at the beginning but i think he's done pretty well for us lately. He give us an outlet and as Jordan says, his assist record is right up there.
As for the corners, he's no worse/better than anyone else....they're all crap at taking them  Rolling Eyes

My point is he's good when running onto the ball but can't take his man on when 1 on 1 even though he has lightning pace.

They should teach him 1 on 1 with Kolarov, that should build his confidence right up  Laughing Laughing

Nasri isn't crap at corners. At least he can get them over the first man!
