Picked that team with regards to the players who played on Weds.

Milner played all the game, DeM didn't play.

I agree, I'd still rather have Lezza and Milner...but I think he'll pick Navas and DeM.

I think now is the time to say we have only the prem to go for, no more points can we afford to drop, so from now on the strongest 11 play each week subject to availability. If that means a few noses put out of joint so be it. It worked for Mancini during the run in to our title victory so why not again.

Dear oh dear..Vinny K....as the Captain, that was fucking shocking...and it rightly deserved a red card. What was he thinking?? He had enough pace to get back at Jelavic...or why didn't he just smother the ball?? Pathetic decision making that may well cost us in the weeks to come...expected much more from him.

Silva must have been practicing all week on shooting, as that was a superb finish.

Nasri...just needs to stop giving the ball away.

Dzeko....what a waste of space. He jumped twice out of at least 15 balls that he went up for....terribly lazy fucker. Get Negredo on.

Can see maybe Navas on for Nasri...he's been sloppy today.

How good has Silva and Zaba been? Immense.

We need another just after half time...it's about winning and 3 points from now on...couldn't give a shit how we play for the rest of the season..all I want is 3 points.

They've done well...DeM and Garcia have been OK....we just need to ensure Zaba isn't isolated at the back post from their crosses, as every time, they seem to have a game plan to hit the back post..and Zaba tends to be marking 2 players.

Need Hart to keep coming out for these crosses and help out the defence...and we need Yaya to put in one or two lung busting runs...as they back off whenever he gets the ball...

Overall...great effort with 10 men....

Immense nothing else to it. Biggest game of season by far. Anything less than 3 points and you had to think we were done for season.

I thought serious foul play would get a 3 game ban and DGSO was just a game ban.

Not sure what the rules are....always thought a straight red was 3 games..

Lee Mason is one of the worse refs for us in the PL. He seemed to have an agenda against us again today, he ignored the foul on VK but had no choice sending him off for the pull back. He then had the perfect opportunity to level things up by sending off the Egyptian winger that made a leg breaking tackle on Silva but he thought it was only deserving of a yellow? WTF? 
He booked Hart for going face to face with Boyd after the cheating fuck dived to try and get a penalty BUT did not book Boyd for the dive??
To be fair they had a good shout when Fernandinho barged Long in the back while he was going up for a header in the box.
Dzeko was as infuriating as ever and every long high ball to him was usually won by Davies and the commentator even said at one point "another header won by Davies", the fact is it was easy for Davies because Dzeko never jumps healways stands and tries to take them on hid chest, occasionally he tries to get a flick but the majority he does not jump.
I thought that after all the flack we have given Demi and Garcia, credit where it's due. They both had a good game today and were tidy and efficient.
Nasri and Toure were absent for long periods after VK went off and were ineffective going forward.
Silva was a giant today, his all around play was excellent and his goal was brilliant as was his through ball for Donkey boy, who amazingly managed to score this time.
The one on one Dzeko missed just previously to his goal and the terrible miss by Fernandinho left me fearing that we might concede a late equaliser and rue those misses but thankfully Dzeko finally scored.
The idiot at pitch side after the game was determined to make a case for Joe headbutting Boyd after the dive, BT kept showing slow mo of the heads coming together and saying that there was pressure on the FA to take action against Hart after the Pardew incident, what bollocks. They then came up with some spit flying from Boyd's mouth towards Joe's face in ultra slow motion which could have happened naturally when players are screaming at each other but looks far worse in slow motion.
Overall, a great performance by the 10 men, disappointed with VK who made poor choices in the first 10 minutes leading to his red card,

MCM Brendon thinks he is biased towards us because he is from Greater Manchester. Hope he was watching that performance.

But Brendon's comments may have had the desired effect, Mason was perhaps trying too hard not to look like he was favouring us after that accusation.
