I don't want this to sound like sour grapes, but if all the City players within 10yrds are adamant he dived and the ref quite obviously agrees, as he gives gave City a free-kick and even had a word with Suarez....why isn't he booked????

Sorry Melton...Dzeko was shit. He has no anticipation to score goals...unless the ball is at his feet within the 12 yrd box...forget it. He never anticipates where the cross will be going..always 5 yrds behind the cross. He could've have 2 tap ins today if he had an ounce of goalscoring instinct.

Yes, second half...brilliant performance and showed how dodgy their back 4 is...but we threw it away with yet another awful defensive display.

Skrtel not only did his usual shirt pulling, but a clear 'punch' of the ball...yet once again, Clattenburk doesn't see it, just like the Suarez ridiculous dive, or the penalty on Dzeko.

I didn't think Dzeko should have come off either Melton.  Skyrtl got away with the shirt pulling and elbows again, Sturridge and Suarez continued their diving practices and we were denied a penalty when Silva went down.  It was all about L'Pool today - tragedy or not - they see themselves as victims of anything you want to name.  Bit of luck needed now - Chelsea to beat them, and for us to win every game we have left.

See, I thought he ran the line very well with no support and brought others into play and bringing him off completely screwed up our attacks. He creates the space Silva gets with his movement, he does a shitload more than people give him credit for.

I also thought we should have had 2 pens the one in the 1st half when the guy completely missed the ball & caught Dzeko The second for the blatant handball by skyrtl not to mention his shirt pulling antics. What annoyed me about the suarez dive was the fact the linesman was also right on top of the incident he did not flag but should also had a word in clattenbergs ear. A draw would have been  a fair result not the ref determining the outcome.

Sorry..beg to differ. I want my CF at least jumping for headers, anticipating crosses in the box. I couldn't give a shit what he does off the ball...which is tantamount to nothing.

His touch is awful....I'd much rather have Negredo chasing lost causes, jumping for headers and basically making a nuisance of himself. Dzeko just doesn't put 100% effort in imo.

Dzeko drifts wide to the left when he plays on his own....therefore, we have the diminutive Silva and Nasri as our options in the box against Sakkho and Skrtyl. I don't want Dzeko drifting out to the left wing all the time...I want him occupying and making it difficult for their 2 CB's....he doesn't.

When he wasn't out on the left....we played 2 magnificent balls in the box....where was he? 5 yrds behind the play..he has no anticipation whatsoever. He's not got a goalscorers instinct.

So...we disagree...fair enough, that as you say, is what makes football what it is.  

I thought Dzeko did well - he dropped a couple of clangers - but so did Vinnie.  For the most part Dzeko did better than a lot of our players.

Chelsea looked awful against 10 man Swansea.  A draw with Liverpool would be good please.

the one hope we have is Chelsea do have a very good defensive record so if they keep it tight then liverpools feared pace attack may come to nothing. They could also be without sturridge & definitely Henderson, Moses is ineligible.

Chelsea's attack is hardly prolific either so a draw looks a strong possibility depending on the standard of ref also.

Chelsea scraping a draw at Anfield would do us a big favour, as long as we don't cock it up by not beating Everton.

that game with everton reminds me of when we had to get the result at Newcastle after beating Uniturd.
Newky had just defeated Chelsea at the bridge & were on course 4 4th place. A really tough game but when it mattered we stood up to the challenge. That is the spirit we need now.

I think Yaya will be a big miss though....by all accounts, he may not play again this season.

Still...I've always and still will have...total confidence in Milner at the heart of MF.

I just think he always brings an energy and attacking option that is a little different to Yaya and Fernandinho.

I just don't get why he doesn't start ahead of Navas.

Navas is great when the game is stretched and legs are tired....but Milner rarely ever lets the side down and was instrumental in how we came back yesterday. Definite starter for me ahead of Garcia in MF...every day of the week...and that's his preferred position.

Garcia will be picked to play in the centre with Fernandinho....can't see Milner playing anywhere but out wide.

Let's get back to all out attacking prowess. Sergio can do a job left of Silva. I'm fed up with Dzeko as you know, though others seem to want to stick with him....I don't.

Time for the Beast and Sergio to get back to their rampant earlier form.

Yesterday was all about the 25yr anniversary and every decision went their way. Dzeko to me should be our 3rd choice striker behind Negrado and Aguero or even 4th if Joc is fit.
Didn't mind L/pool till yesterday but the cheating and their horrible supporters made me dislike the thieving spitting bin dipping scumbags

I'd rather have somebody like Andy Carroll than dzeko......at least he can jump to head the ball, hold play up, and be a real nuisance to defenders........and knows what the prem is all about........even though he can look like a clot at times he'd do a better job in the role dzeko is being asked to do..!!

If I played up front for City instead of Dzeko, I'm sure I'd have scored at least 10 goals this season. Ok, he's scored some crackers but he's had his fair share of tap in as well (and he's missed half of them!).
