Seems we may have another journalist who can see through UEFA and what a bunch of pathetic suits they are.

Good points. We're hated in England, we just have to accept it. But I hope we take on UEFA and I hope someone has the balls to take on FIFA for the Qatari WC tragedy.

Re: Brian Reade from The Mirror
It's nice to see FIFA and UEFA tackling the real issues in football with the severity they deserve. Racist chanting gets a miniscule fine. Violent conduct leading to severe injury and even death is met with a shrug. But god help you if you spend your own money developing your team!
I can't say I'm surprised the paper tigers at FIFA and UEFA are going for the easy targets. It's far easier to make pariahs out of us, who invest in the game and treat visiting teams with respect, than ban entire countries for their misdeeds. Cutting Spain and Italy out of European and International competitions would make them sort out their race and violence issues (just like it did for ours), but that's never going to happen because nobody has the chops to do it.
But then again, I thought Juventus fans were almost as bad as the Liverpool fans at Heysel, so what would I know...

It stinks, plain and simple, and with Blatter showing no signs of giving up his position I can't see it changing for a long long time.
I really hope we go all the way with this, we've only got till tomorrow to agree to their sanctions and then it goes to a supposed impartial panel and their decision is final, all be it you can appeal to the Court of Arbitration for sport, who will hear the complaint before the start of the CL in July.

Ok, conspiracy theory or somewhere near the truth?
The Qatari's came to the table later than Sheikh Mansour did so they had even more catching up to do before the door closed.
They didn't seem to care one jot about FFP. Even if their fine was £50M, it's a small price to pay for joining the club. If they had been barred from the CL for, say, 3-5 years, then maybe they wouldn't have joined up.
Methinks they either knew in advance that any sanction wouldn't really hurt them so they could spend whatever they wanted to or they just didn't care because they knew if the nod and wink didn't work, they could knock it back through the courts.
