Various reports that Arsenal offered him £90k pw for 2 years and We are offering at least £100K for 3 years.

Id rather spend the money on a younger model

Can play RB and CB.....for a free, I think it's decent experience and cover for Zaba. Think about it. If Zaba was injured, how realiable is Micah and would you prefer Boyata or Sagna at RB?

Is he gonna get to play CL football though??

He should have stayed at Arsenal.

I don't think he cares that much, Shaken. He's clearly heading into his last big deal and he wants more.

He should have stayed and Arsenal should have given him the money he wanted. They'll now have to go and buy a new RB for at least £5M-£10M. Pay Sagna an extra £20K per week and that's only £1M a year.

If you read the article, I don't think it's about the money per se. United apparently, were offering him an extra £1m a year...but he wants to play in the CL...so maybe City have given him assurances he will be in their squad.

As said above..he'd have CL football at Arsenal and they offered to increase wages.....bit bizarre, but he clearly doesn't want to stay at Arsenal.

I think he was just an average player in an average team (at Arsenal)...it's no improvement at all to our current squad, yet he's gonna cost us £7.28m/yr   

Well, quite. I'm damn sure we can find better out there. I think the only reason we're showing any interest at all is because it won't cost us a penny out of the transfer budget.

He's not HG, Arsenal signed him from Auxerre and was 24 when the Gooners signed him.
