Cook's a bad loser

I really don't get why Cook's whinging about Buttlers dismissal. He was warned not once, but twice, so was run-out the next time he did it. What is wrong with that?
This happened when i used to play and the general rule (for us) was that the "backing up" batsman was given a warning about stepping too far out of his ground, then if it happened again, he'd be run out.
This is exactly what happened here, irrespective of whether it's in the "spirit of the game" or not, the England team and Buttler inparticular can have NO complaints.

We did the same Den. One warning and that was it. It's not as if Cook walks when he gets a nick. That would be in the spirit of the game. It's not as if players don't sledge each other. That would be in the spirit of the game. It's not as if captains don't go slow in over rates etc. when they are under the cosh. That would be in the spirit if the game.
Take it on the chin Cookie.

I don't get why he's moaning. It's in the rules. If Buttler wants to wander out of his crease and risk getting caught then it's his own fault.

Because not walking, claiming dodgy catches, sledging, spot fixing/match fixing and any other method of cheating is what cricket is all about.

The thing is, if Sri Lanka hadn't have warned him and just whipped the bails off straight away, then yes, i think Cook could have an argument. But the Sri Lankans didn't, they warned Buttler, not once but twice beforehand, and had him out the 3rd time he did it.......no excuse.
Bet he doesn't do it again

He was hardly charging down the wicket. A matter of 6 inches. Maybe the Sri Lankan's feel that 6 inches is better for them than for England! Clearly lacking in some department!

Re: Cook's a bad loser
As someone said, run outs can be down to the odd inch or two so why give someone a head start?
