England last night
Thought Milner had a shocker at RB...and was equally as poor in MF. Never saw him give the ball away so much.
On that evidence, can't see him getting a starting position over Henderson or Wilshere.
He's much better than what he showed last night.
Come on Jimmy, pull your finger out.

Re: England last night
Tbh blue, he was never gonna start anyway. I think the game last night was all about giving the reserve/fringe players a bit of game time.
Think the next/last friendly will be pretty close to the gaffers starting 11 imo.

Re: England last night
I actually thought Roy would maybe start Milner, especially against Italy, to give us that bit of energy and stability...but on that showing, he may well have lost his place he was that poor.

Re: England last night
He wasn't help at RB with the OX not helping him out. Too often he had 2 on 1 and wasn't cure what to do. That said, he was poor on MF too. England just cannot control the ball well enough, There were so many times when it rolled under the foot or they failed to stop the ball dead when trying to control it. No-one really came out of that game with much credit except Ox and Barkley though their performances were error strewn as well.
