Suarez admits bite and apologises
Filthy bastard apologising a week after the event after he's been told to do so. Insincere cock.

His ban should be extended for lying about it so much. How many excuses did he make, four?

Apparently he only made his apology because BARCELONA insisted he make it, or there'd be no-way they'd bid for him. Oh, i bet the Scouse fans are happy

After the Uruguayan Captain and their FA claimed that the incident never happened and that this was a vendetta by English journalists, can we now expect an apology and punishment by them for Suarez?

Yes, we can. It'll be in a small box, two inches square, on page 28. Next to the cute article about an old lady growing orchids in an abandoned toilet.ManCityMan wrote:After the Uruguayan Captain and their FA claimed that the incident never happened and that this was a vendetta by English journalists, can we now expect an apology and punishment by them for Suarez?

Re: Suarez admits bite and apologises
Here we go... Apparently, Suarez can still train despite being banned from all football activities for four months. Erm... Isn't that like being banned from driving, but you can still drive your car to work?
http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/jul/03/luis-suarez-training-suspension-fifa?
And here's the reason why FIFA have backed down, I suspect:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2679995/Luis-Suarez-set-complete-80million-Barcelona-48-hours.html
That clears that up then. And every single centre half in the country breathes a huge sigh of relief that they aren't going to find themselves on the business end of a Suarez taste test!

I also think with the fact that an appeal is due, they may have decided to relax the training ban, in favour of sticking with the 4 month ban....but it's FIFA, so once the transfer goes through, what's the betting the appeal is successful?

Re: Suarez admits bite and apologises
All they need to do is reduce the ban to 6-8 weeks and he can start the season for Barca. Easy.

Re: Suarez admits bite and apologises
Better not rescind that ban - it would make a mockery of the consequences of biting/elbowing/racial discrimination etc. I know I've mentioned this before but my brother bit me when he was 2 and I was 5. I still have the bite marks on my forearm (two upper teeth marks). My mother bit him back and he never did it again. Suarez is not 2 - and has never grown out of it for some reason.

wouldn't be surprised if they reduced the ban so he doesn't miss any league games for Barca.
