Get rid i say, this lad just ain't gonna make it at City. Admittedly, £2.5m isn't that much for a PL player nowadays, but for all we know that fee (if it's correct) may have add-ons on top of that + sell on clauses, etc, etc.

If he couldn't get a game for Stoke when he was there n loan, you have to wonder if the boy has lost whatever talent he had.

Not for ones that play, at any rate. I doubt six sub appearances at Stoke counts for much.

Bloody shame, though. I don't know what's happened there because I thought he was looking good on loan at Feyenoord, what with 20 goals in 23 games. He'd have at least been a decent stand-in for Nedge, I'd have thought. Maybe the Dutch league is more forgiving, who knows?

Well, yes, it was, but I'd agree, £2.5m is peanuts for someone who's proved they can be good. Especially now Valencia seem to be relieving us of Nedge. Serge had better stay fit now, or we're screwed.

I just can't see how MP will allow Negredo to go without bringing in another striker....just doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

Imagine come the end of the month/next month, one of the strikers are injured for, let's say 6 weeks....we then have to rely on 2 strikers playing 2 games a week in the PL,CL and domestic cups....then what would be the chance of one of them getting injured for being over-played?

Just think it will be absolutely stupid if we let him go without someone coming in.

Totally agree. Unless there's someone coming we don't know about yet.

can't help thinking that if Negredo does go City have obviously got something up there sleeve. It will be interesting as I can't believe that city would leave themselves short of options.  I do wish we would sell some players instead of all these loans, I know we want them off our wage bill so get the players sold. we must have nearly 2 bloody teams out on loan at the moment.
