Munich v City Empty Munich v City

Post by Paulpowersleftfoot Tue Sep 16, 2014 6:43 pm

With Ribery confirmed as out and Robben rated as doubtful, perhaps tomorrow night is a great chance to take the group by the scruff of the neck and repeat last years win in Munich?
Really hope Pellegrini doesn't go defensive but has a real go at them, try to pin them on the back foot like we did last year when they thought they had the game won

Caballero
Zabaleta Kompany Mangala Kolorov
yaya Fernandinho
Navas Milner Silva
Aguero

Anyone making the trip?
I'm on the 9-10am flight out in the morning, will be heading to the augustiner beer Keller

Wish I was!

I'd go for that line-up as well.

Thought Navas was excellent on Saturday...but still wish he'd have a go at defenders more.

Lucky ground for Milner and should keep him sweet to start our first game of the CL campaign.

Can't see Dzeko being too impressed though.

That'd be the only thing MP may change...start Dzeko for his height instead of Aguero...with Chelsea coming up.

But I guess we'll see where his priorities lie this season.

Be surprised if this isn't priority no 1 this season

Guess so.....

Hope Willy has a good game, and Mangala.....leave the rest to Silva and whoever to get a goal or two....a clean sheet would be brilliant, no matter what.

Who can we get that is? Where we are now, we cannot afford any second class players. It's like we are on a treadmill. We've got to keep winning stuff to keep sponsors. 2nd rate players (and promising youth products) will go by the wayside.

Without Robben and Ribery, we've got to have a decent chance if we aren't scared.

Don't give 2 shits if Robben does play....let them worry about us.
I reckon Nasri will play tonight,,,,instead of Milner or Navas, so i'd line up as follows.

.....................Willy
Sagna.....Vince....Mangala....Kolarov
..........Yaya.........Fernandinho
Navas/Milner.........Nasri...............Silva
..................Aguero

Still think Dzeko will play for his height, with possibly Aguero off him.

You could well be right blue, but i'd personally keep Dzeko for weekend (we need Serge tonight)....never thought i'd ever print that Laughing Laughing

I agree, I think Sergio will play a key role tonight...but just feel that MP will be going all out tonight for a win rather than thinking of the weekend.

I'd go along with that.  A win against the top seed away from home automatically puts us on the front foot and means we're not playing catch-up.  The league can wait.  Chelsea are bound to slip up sooner or later.

I'll be annoyed if Robben plays, though.  He's bound to fall over a lot.  Diving twat  Evil or Very Mad
