Yaya and Fernandhino need to pull their fingers out in MF.
Clichy has been awful so far.
It's back to typical City..

Our defence is shit when they attack. Yaya keeps sitting off players and marking grass!

WTF is going on? I went to pick up my missus and we were coasting at 2-0. Now we look like we'll be lucky to get anything? Are we Man Utd. in disguise?

I'd haul Toure off right now (probably go and score), put Milner alongside Fernandhino and get Navas on the right.
Lazy fucker!

Re: Live Thread - Hull v City
Think Mangala needs to chalk this off as a simple "fucking nightmare".
He's giving simple balls away now in the 2nd half. All CB's have poor days, and his is now, but Dzeko and others need to be doing a lot more.

Suddenly, we go 3-2 up...and we start pressing them. Why not do that from the off?

Super Frank! Lol blue you will never change. Mangala had a shocker but it's not been that bad. Hull are as dirty as Stoke but we look like we can score with every attack.

Come on BB.....Yaya's been shit. I'm not saying it's bad, only posting as the game goes by what's happening. It's a live thread....saying it as it happens.
Frank AGAIN!.....he could be our 20+ MF player this season..instead of lazy fucker!

I know but at some point YaYa will turn it on. However I still maintain his contract says he plays.
i will take a lazy YaYa if we score 4 each week.

Isn't Frank our top scorer now? He can't be far off, surely?
Not the most attractive or convincing win, but that's what separates champions from also-ransom.

Re: Live Thread - Hull v City
I'll take 3 points and 4 goals every week BB....but against the top teams, EVERY single player needs to be at it 100%. Yaya played today like he was thinking of Roma on Tuesday....one great shot, but his defensive duties were lacking and other had to cover.
TBF...I'd rather have Milner in there right now and drop the fucker to the bench...but as you say, maybe it's a contractual thing, but fuck knows why!
Thought Milner worked tirelessly again today....Clichy was bang average, Mangala, well, let's hope that's his nightmare game out of the way (Vinny's had them)...still, 3 points and it should've been a lot easier.

Re: Live Thread - Hull v City
I know....but that's been Silva's Achilles heel throughout his career.
Wonderful player, one of the world's best...but the positions he gets into inside the area, he should be doubling his tally each season, but he always wants an extra pass.
Still, I'd rather have him setting up 2 goals as long as the strikers put em away.

Re: Live Thread - Hull v City
Have to say mangala wasn't at his best today , noticed last week Chelsea build up was all played in front of the back 4 whereas today a lot of balls over the top & from wide positions which caught Mangala out. Maybe just needs a couple of games against this sought of opposition to get used to the fact we are the scalp as defending champions so teams will come at us.Villa up next so chances are they will sit back & try & hit us on the break as they did last season even when they are at home, so should be an easier game for Mangala.

I meant easier game in terms of able to read the game better as it will be played in front of him again.

Re: Live Thread - Hull v City
I agree Oz....Vinny, DeM, Lezza, Clichy, Kolorov, Zaba...they've had nightmare games when they've been sued to the pace of the PL...so we can surely forgive him this one....but he needs to learn quickly, as he was sloppy on the ball as well today.

Re: Live Thread - Hull v City
FFS - poor old Mangala - is learning to play in the PL - felt sorry for him - but he's not done any worse than Martin did - when he first played. Let's give him a bit of time. Dzeko was pretty calm and collected out there - and Silva has been our spine for a long time - so can't knock him he works tirelessly. Thought Navas did too. Think we were just a bit stunned after Hull's second. Looked much better in the last 20 minutes - although if Milner had his shooting boots on we could have had 5 or 6.

Agree Wensdi. We were all just calling what we saw during the game, and Mangala DID have a mare. However, I'm sure every City fan will forgive him that game, as we got 3 points. The difference is some games previously, with the likes of Vinny, DeM, Lezza...giving cheap penalties away or getting sent off cost us the game. Yesterday, we had enough to push on again and get another 2....against a top team, those type of mistakes would normally cost you all 3 points.

The own goal seemed to really unsettle him, amazing how confidence plays such an important role in sport

Re: Live Thread - Hull v City
Not only for him, but the team suddenly stopped doing what they were doing. We started the game pressing high and pressing the Hull players, suddenly, we got deeper and deeper when Mangala scored.
Also, not only did we play nervously, they suddenly got a big injection of belief.

For Dzeko I'm quite glad we don't have a plethora of strikers to rotate,he more than anyone needs to play every week. He looked sharp yesterday

That's the idea Dawg, I'll keep slating his work rate and finishing...
I'd love it he scored another 25+ this season.
As for Frank, nope, I thought that was a great bit of business when he signed on loan...adding great experience. He obviously needed that new challenge to to rediscover his form of 2 years ago.
If he stayed at Chelsea, I doubt he'd have played much and been given the chance.
