I wouldn't have thought it would take that long, but also didn't think we'd be suddenly seeing youth players rolling into our first team squad within 3 years.

I would have thought 5-6 years and we should be seeing at least 3, maybe 5 players being integrated into the first team.

If you think now, we have a few players in the EDS who COULD make the squad next season.

And our U18's topping the League...with most only 16/17....unless they suddenly improve dramatically, it'll be at least 4 years before any of the shining stars will be ready.

There is always the hope that somebody has that surge in development. I think someone will go out on loan and make an enormous impact. It has to be greater than Guidetti who we thought would make it

Guidetti has been on most pre-season tours, had 2 loan spells, yet still, nobody wants to give him a try.

Maybe they see something in his character that they don't like, both Mancini and MP.

I think maybe it's time we stop looking to him and look to the likes of Pozo, Huwala, Fofana, Lopes, Bytiqi, Barker, Ambrose and Angelino as our main hopes of coming through to the first team squad.

Sadly, I've given up on Guidetti. He doesn't look good enough to me whether that's because of his injury, I don't know. He couldn't even get a game for goal shy Stoke when out on loan last season and he isn't pulling up trees in Scotland.
