Missed the first few minutes. Milner is playing bollocks from what I've seen.

Another great ball from Yaya to Zabba creating yet another chance and a goal. This should be over then.

Re: CSKA V City Live Thread
They have 5 behind the ball all of the time....we needed to move the ball quicker, we did, and were a little more direct and scored twice.
Not only Milner, but Silva and Kolorov's passing has been pants.
Still think a 5 man MF would gain more sucess, especially as they have to come out now and not rely on hitting us on the break.
Can see Sergio making way for Jovetic to play behind Dzeko.
Awful watching a game behind closed doors, so no doubt it makes a massive difference to the players...still, professional job done so far against a poor team.
It's all about the 3 points.

The 3 points are important but we need a ton of goals too in case it boils down to GD

Been pedestrian this half and you have to wonder why MP has sat there and done fuck all about it.
Dzeko has had about 8 touches so far....70% of them he's given the ball away...but Sergio has played 90 mins on Sat, but we can't rely on Dzeko as he's pants.
Very poor second half so far...

Really frustrating. Score a third and we coast and probably get a couple more as they give up. We haven't really bothered this 2nd half.

Oh...surprise surprise.....MP, fucking clueless and cannot motivate this team to hold out for 45 mins.
Sticks with TLF.....who on £220k pw and the supposed star player.....does FUCK ALL again to effect a game this season.
And some on here stick up for him and think me and the papers have got it wrong???
He's fucking useless and doesn't give a shit about City...

Arrogant, over-hyped bunch of tossers.
Not just the lanky baby, but all of them.
Well, you've just totally embarrassed yourselves on a worldwide stage.
They can all just fuck off from now on, had enough of the over-inflated egos and vacuous sound bites. Really no longer interested.
This bunch of charlatans will NEVER win the CL.
I've had some bad nights as a blue, but that second half performance beggars belief.
Fuck off, and goodnight MP and your squad.

Don't care what anyone says, CSKA were fuckin shit....and I mean shit with a capital S. I'd honestly have expected (on that performance) Bury to have beaten them....and that's no joke either.
Penalty or not, we deserved that result...on the back of that totally inept 2nd half display. When will this management and players ever learn how to win and progress in the CL.

Re: CSKA V City Live Thread
The pro-TLF and MP lot will have their say...i'm sure.
MP cannot motivate fuck all out of this team....why? Because of a bad egg in the team, and until some on here and MP wakes up to that, we'll never win a game again in the CL.
He consistently sticks with a lazy fucker who doesn't give a shit about City....he's happy to collect the 3rd highest wage in the PL and highest at our club...but just cannot be arsed to put an ounce of effort in.
And no excuses please about him playing alongside Fernando...when Fernandinho came on, he had licence to go forward...but just couldn't be arsed to take the game by the scruff of the neck, because he doesn't want to be with us, he wants another BIG payday...that's all he's interested in. He's a FUCKING LUXURY PASSENGER....and the owners won't stand for MP's bollocks management for much longer.

Players we should get rid of while we can still get something for them
kolorov
Toure
Navas
Dzeko
And we need to get Nasri back, as he makes Silva tick
Still can't believe we didn't win tonight

What the bloody hell happened? I watched the first half and we were coasting. And we didn't win?? It's a bloody good job Bayern are hammering Roma, cos we'd have no chance otherwise.
So sick of us being clueless in this comp. We should be winning against these teams, not capitulating in such a stupid fashion.

I agree with Nijinsky....the players he mentioned are fucking useless.
But still, some will pick up their extortionate amount of money each week and blame others for their performances....but expect us to pay for them.
Hope they can look in their £m mirrors after their driver has dropped them off at home and their butler has tucked them up in bed, patted their forehead and told them how fantastic their world is.

Well even if we try our best to get into the Europa, 2 wins out of 3 and we will probably qualify. I'm sorry if Bayern can put 7 past Roma away WTF were we doing a fortnight ago.
Not getting my hopes up because we don't really deserve it, but Bayern just removed Roma's positive goal difference for us.

Re: CSKA V City Live Thread
How does that help us BB? We still have to beat CSKA at home (is that still a gimme?) and beat Bayern at home or Roma away. Do you really think we can do one of the latter? No one in Europe is quaking in their boots.

CSKA at home should be a gimme, going off their performance last night and Bayern may rest a few when we're at home, as they're already through....can't see us winning away in Rome tbh.

Re: CSKA V City Live Thread
Let's hope that we scrape through, against pot 3 & 4 teams, so that we get drawn against a really good team in the knockouts. On last night's performance, that would really be an embarrassment.
I had a whole lot to write this morning, after having had time to reflect, but now I find that I've come over all 'Yaya', and I really can't be bothered.
Bollocks, bollocks and yet more bollocks to them.

Re: CSKA V City Live Thread
I've decided I'm not going to let it bother me today. Whatever happens, we've shown ourselves up as being utterly useless in Europe once more.
I don't care about the referees allegedly lacking in impartiality; if we were good enough to close games out, then poor decisions wouldn't have an effect. There's only so many times can you have legitimate goals overturned before it becomes obvious a ref is biased. But one dodgy penalty call being given and one legit call being dismissed isn't grounds for a moan. And the fact that the penalty robbed us of two points is the team's fault for not putting the game out of sight in the first place.
Anyway, like I said, I'm not thinking about it today. I've got much nicer things to do today.

Re: CSKA V City Live Thread
I'm just feeling the usual apathy the day after a CL game. Can't be arsed ranting about it.
I agree, at 2-0 up at HT, it's down to the Manager to ensure we remain solid across the MF and give them nothing....and he didn't do that - so we ended up paying the price. It's that's simple.

Re: CSKA V City Live Thread
Exactly, Chelski or even dare I say it the Rags would never have given up a 2-0 lead to a shit team like that.
This is all down to TLF though, when he is on the pitch we are abject and shit. When he wasn't around like Saturday we look so much better and look at the result against what was actually a spirited Spuds for once.
Anyway I'm seriously writing this season off, we may get a cup, but will do nothing in Europe yet again and I think the league is already beyond us. We are relying on Chelsea strikers to stay injured for a while.
Yaya Toure will cost MP his job. We can all see it, so why can't they.

Re: CSKA V City Live Thread
I've just read the match report by Ian Ladyman and he claims TLF had an impressive game. I mean, WTF? What game was he watching.
At half time, it was time to bring off Dzeko and solidify an already 'average' MF. Keep the ball like we did in the first half, take 3 points and forget about more goals etc and get out of there.
Your last comment BB - I'm fed up of keep saying it, but I posted in the summer - we will regret not selling him, and I agree, TLF may well cost MP his job come the end of the season.
He looks completely disinterested and won't give a shit if MP gets sacked, as he'll just push for a move anyway.
Agree also, without him on Saturday, we looked fairly solid apart from a few mistakes ie Fernando. However, we can't enter CL games with the same mentality we do in the PL....yet once again, he and his assistant just sat there and let things unfold.
Even Hart after the game said "we were comfortable in the first half, but I'm not sure what happened in the second, we were just so poor".

Re: CSKA V City Live Thread
Playing TLF is like playing with 10 men. He doesn't do his defensive duties and he doesn't offer anything upfront. He just sits and waits for the ball ...then makes some ineffective passess.
Yet there are some who like MP think he is awesome. Well the owners will sack MP even as soon as January as I don't think these old managers will change their ways.
We saw how Mancini was dropped so if I was MP I would be worried.
