Bankrupt footballers
Heard about David James having to sell off shirts and even shorts as he is bankrupt.

Re: Bankrupt footballers
Wtf do these people spend their vast fortunes on to go bankrupt?.....sorry, these "celebrities" that end up like this get no sympathy whatsoever from me.

Re: Bankrupt footballers
I give some sympathy, but on a case by case basis. James earned about £20M (lose 50% in tax, agent fees etc.). I think he has had two divorces - one cost him £3M. Footballers who gamble their money away get no sympathy.

Re: Bankrupt footballers
He might not be an arse and was by all accounts generous with his money, but he had career earnings of around £20m.....and still blew it all.

Re: Bankrupt footballers
Crazy and no sympathy from me. He was a goalkeeper too so had a longer career than outfield players.
Trouble is when "celebrities" go bankrupt it's not like Joe Public you can bet so much has already been squirreled away before hand. Kerry Fucking Katona is a prime example, bankrupt twice and still lives in a million pound house. This sale will just be for "tax" reasons. Anyway isn't he still working on BT Sport? That must pay something.

I thought he was on a break from BT Sport playing in the Indian footy league. He's lucky though. he can become bankrupt and still have some decent work as a pundit.
