Think Samir is spot on....

I agree, as it'll prove this current crop of players aren't upto the job

When I first saw the headline, I thought, "Oh, come on Samir, don't open your mouth and make things worse."  And then I read the article and saw that he's actually suggesting the players get the chop if they fail to perform and I changed my mind.  He's pretty much inviting the axe for himself, too, and that's pretty brave.

And he's right.  We've been crap in this competition and we need to show we're better than this.  Even Pep Guardiola has said we're better than this.

I guess it's a little easier for him as he's been injured for such a long time and missed quite a number of those games, but still, it's about time we heard a little more honesty from some of the players, as we've been nothing short of embarrassing in the CL, and not a lot better in the PL.

Let's hope he has a great game...because as you say, his neck is on the line as one of the 'big' salaried players.

You keep getting Kompany saying stuff like we are better than this. We can qualify, We will sort this out. yet we cannot sort this out.

I'm sure we could sort it out.  We just don't seem to be able to figure out how.  Although I'd argue that trying to fix it by doing the same thing over and over and over again isn't really a great method.

As an engineer, the only thing that fixes anything by repeated application is a Manchester Screwdriver
