Why the fuck are the 2nd place teams in one pot, but the winners are in loads of pots and they keep transferring the winners balls into one pot??

Why not just have 2 pots - 2nd and 1st place?? Dodgy as fuck.

Well did we really expect one of the "easier teams"? That said, Barca are definitely not the force they once were, that's not to say it's gonna be easy but we should certainly be going into the game knowing we can beat them.

Hopefully we'll have our players back fit and firing on all cylinders by then.....here's hoping anyway..

It's because of the rule that says teams from the same league or from the same group can't be drawn against each other until the quarter final, that every first place team gets to go against a second place team in the last 16 and that the second placed team gets the home draw first.  It's the only way they can do it.  For our draw, they'd have placed in a ball for every team bar Chelsea and Bayern.

Of course, it also makes it easier to warm up the container holding the Barca balls.

No, me neither.  Unless it's to make sure that Barca and Real stay in as long as realistically possible.

I understand that we feel victimised, I called the Barca draw as soon as we'd beaten Roma, but if it was really fixed in favour of the elite clubs then surely Barca would have been given an easy draw rather than us as we have a realistic chance of beating them.

All of the top finishing teams could beat us on their day, likewise, IF we turn up with our A game and A team, plus Jan signings (if they qualify), then we can beat anyone.

The way the CL is set up with all the seeding means that we've always got a 20% chance (or higher) of meeting the same teams in the knockout stages. Look at the groups stages. We keep getting CSKA and Munich. I think that's three times in four seasons.
