So, this was a player that we were linked with. Quick, tricky, able to take players on and score goals - at the time a fee of £28-30m was banded around.

Chelsea secure his services for £23m and improve their attacking and goal scoring threat in the process.

We on the other hand get Bony. Good signing? Yes, I think it will be.

The problem I have is this:

We can all see the same issues and problems each week. No real pace in attack. A terrible winger in Navas who doesn't score and cannot cross a ball.

Jovetic - for me, all tricks and no end product.

Jovetic in particular will get limited game time when Bony arrives with Dzeko now fit as well.

Why the fuck didn't we do everything to get this player and get rid of Jovetic or Navas?

Another decent player has now improved our rivals attacking capability - which in recent months has deserted us!!

I just don't get how they buy up all these players then manage to still sell them for mega bucks only playing a handful of games. we on the other hand spend mega bucks then loan them out because we either can't sell them or teams such as villa quibble over 2.5 million which in todays transfer market is well below average.
