Good to see how Denayer plays..

Didn't watch it. Was he any good? Devante Cole scored a couple of goals yesterday for MK Dons.

Untroubled, composed on the ball, decent passer...but there wasn't much of a contest to gauge really.

I've seen him 2 or three times in the SPL and like you say he seems composed and doesnt seem to get caught out of position too often or dispossessed through trying to be too clever when a simple pass is on like some i could mention.

Problem is, it's just difficult to know just how good he is in that league. He's a big lad and good in the air.

Like you said - he seems to know where to be at the right time and looks like a no nonsense CB...if it needs clearing into the crowd, he does it. 

He always looks to try and get the ball players on the ball quickly, and I didn't see him give a ball away, so very economical with Van Dyke who was the player who liked to run forward with the ball.

He's also scored a couple as well unlike our current CB's.
Although the standard is a bit lower in the SPL, the games are still very competitive and i reckon he is improving all the time. Whether he will improve enough to be given a shot in our first team? I doubt it, we seem to be determined not to bring good young players through into the top team even when they deserve at least a shot.

Look at Zouma from Chelsea - only 20 years old and being given a chance over a current England CB.
