new defender?

He's a decent player, but not sure whether he is top, top quality for the future. 

If we have money to spend, we need to strengthen the one of the team that so far this season has let us down....defenders. 

Personally, I'd still stick with Zaba...maybe even Clichy has done well, but I don't think Kolorov is a natural LB, so maybe that needs strengthening with Contraou. 

At CB, if we are sticking with DeM, then I can't see us adding anyone else, unless....we bin Kompany/Mangala and bring in someone of top quality...but I just don't see that happening.

LB/RB....I'd like a young academy player to fill these supporting roles and with the likes of Rekik who can fill LB/CB, we'll be OK.

I want Rekik And Denayar to come back in the summer and be given a go with the 1st team squad. We'd have enough defenders and will need to hope someone makes it out of those two and Mango.

Like I've always said....I'm happy to give Mangala until next season to prove his worth....he's young, never played in the PL and lot's of clubs wanted him, so they must have seen the quality he has.

You only have to look at DeGea....was a laughing stock in his first 2 seasons, now every team wants him as he's turned into a top class, world class keeper.

DeM was different as he came with bags of experience and was able to figure out fairly quickly what was needed in his game. 

I don't think the fact that Kompany has been injured and been in woeful form has helped him adapt whatsoever....so I'm still fighting his corner and hope he's a Kompany mark 2 in the waiting.

I think everyone deserves the chance to turn things around. Even Zabba and Kompany...

Just think back a few years, we used to watch it!!

We'd have a centre back who'd score 8 goals a season.  In his own net.
A keeper who'd chase everything like a puppy.
An attacking mid who had a penchant for kicking players instead of the ball
A centre mid who'd be overweight from boozing
A midfielder who could play well, but rarely did
A striker who could hardly score
Another striker who would be even worse
A world class winger who we'd have to sell to pay for them all
And a half decent right back who'd nick a winner at the death, then swear on MotD!

Oh, and a gopping kit designed by Reebok...
