Jovetic for Koke?

If successful (and true) this swap deal would leave us with only 3 recognized forwards. So my question is, would MP also be in the market for another striker?

I like Koke....a far lot more than Jovetic.

I just don't see Jovetic as a striker to be honest...he's more a number 10. I'd hate to think he was our only striker right now.

Totally agree. I don't really know much about this Koke fella tbh, but he has to be better than Jovetic.....he can definitely go for me in the summer.

Manchester United will duke it out with City for Atletico Madrid's Spain international Koke.

Scouted by David Moyes last year, Koke does not stand out as a probable Louis van Gaal signing simply because the United manager declined the chance to sign Toni Kroos - a similar player to Koke - in the summer.

Koke, 23, signed a new contract with Atletico last year and although Barcelona are banned from signing players this year, they'll be keeping their fingers crossed he stays put in the Spanish capital until 2016.

Barca midfielder Xavi, after all, went on record as saying Koke is his 'successor' for Spain.

Guess so, but will he be tempted to sign for City is we activate his buy out clause...or is he waiting for that move to Barca?

Who knows, but he'll be waiting for at least another year. With Malaga in 7th, 6 points off 6th, it doesn't look like there'll be any CL football for him for another season - and with the Euro's coming soon, he'll be desperate to playing in the big competitions for his Spain place.
