FFP blocked!

A Belgian court has imposed an interim order blocking UEFA from implementing new FFP rules:

Now that Platini has had his hand forced over the old rules by the likes of AC Milan, he's now had his hand forced by the courts that he can't implement the new ones. It seems they're rolling out the old "EU Freedom of Movement" law as their primary point of contention, which FFP pretty much laughs in the face of.

The court ruling means that UEFA can't do anything until the ECJ convenes to discuss whether the whole thing is illegal or not.

This is good news for us, I think, on the basis that it means Platini can't do a damn thing to us now. And if the ECJ rule that FFP is in fact illegal, we should get our sixteen mill back!

Great news....and some extra compensation for illegal practices.

It was always going to happen, so maybe that's why we didn't kick up such a fuss.
