Interesting team selection. Bit unfair on Mango.

Agree...would rather have him in the side than Otamendi.

Agree... KdB is doing nowt on the right, he's hardly picked a pass this first half.
Nice to see Clottenberk is keeping with the FA's stance of giving Sterling nothing.
If Serge was playing, we'd be two up now.

Absolutely shite.
United by far the better team.
KDB was poor, Sterling worse and don't get me started on TLMLF...what a joke he is. Lazy bastard.
Otamemdi and Kompany did well in defence, but that sums up our negative approach.
Still, we didn't get beat....guess that's all I could take out of the game. Negative, slow football...looking like we NEVER wanted to win the game.
Onwards and upwards - please get back soon David and Sergio.

Re: United vs City - Live Thread
I'm happier with the point than the performance..
with Aguero and Silva I think we would have nailed them by 2 or more today.
Thought Kelachi should have had 10 extra minutes, he covered more ground in 10 minutes than Bony did in the other 35...

Fair-weather fan today and chose to listen and follow on skysports app, just didn't feel right and my "cityisis" makes me think I can jinx it too so all in all happy with the point by all accounts.
A good week all things said and done with the 2 main men out at the moment.

Well, that was shit... Otamendi was our best player by far. TLF was okay on the first half, as was Dino. Hart did what was needed, but had no saves to make. Sagna and Vinny were solid but unspectacular.
KdB did almost nothing, like he was overawed by the occasion. Sterling did nothing. Fernando did nothing. Kolarov was awful. Navas did nothing. Bony offered no threat. Demi helped to solidify the defence, but gave nothing going forwards. Iheanacho wasn't on long enough to make an impact.
We tried the long ball too often and there were too many loose passes. They pressed us, but we let them play. The only plus points are that we kept Martial quiet and Rooney was in Ota's back pocket.
I'll take the point, but we looked very poor. I was worried about us playing Arsenal before, but now I'm deeply concerned.

Re: United vs City - Live Thread
Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) I missed the 2nd half but from the 1st half I thought we were the better side, not that there was many chances. KdB is wasted on the right wing & didnt seem to do a great deal apart from 1 good cross which TLMF fluffed. Navas would have been far more effective & it wd be nice to see Navas & Sterling swap wings just to mix it up a bit
Thought Kompany & Otamendi were excellent. Kompany definitely adds organisation to the back 4
Shit game but a decent point to take away from the swamp

Agree..Arsenal will destroy us without the control of Silva and Aguero.
We all called for TLMLF to play behind Bony, but he was awful.
For me, he needs dropping. Simple as.
Play the Ferdy twins and Silva in his place. When Aguero's fit, Aguero for Bony.
Get rid of TLMLF in Jan...if we get £10-15m from some mug of a Director of Football, happy days. Get Isco in for £30m.

What a boring load of old rubbish. Better get in gear for Wednesday's League Cup clash with Palace.

Speaking of Arsenal - poor old Wednesday have to play them tomorrow in the League Cup. They don't have Silva or Aguero either

I'm sure they will be resting as many of their key first team players as possible.

Re: United vs City - Live Thread
Thought we were the better team in the 1st half and even without Aguero & Silva, utd were bricking it. Clearly our game plan was to get a goal in the first 45 and dig in. When that didn't happen we decided a point was enough and handed over the incentive 2nd half. Even then utd still didn't have the bollocks to have a real good go.
I don't mind seeing us less attack-minded for a change - as long as they don't make a habit of it!
Still had some good chances; Yaya's first timer he didn't catch right and I thought Otamendi could've thrown a bit more of himself at that ball in...

Re: United vs City - Live Thread
Only saw the 2nd half...and i thought we were pretty poor tbh.
The onus was on the Rags to force the issue, but i actually never felt as though we were under that much pressure.
That said, i'd have take the point before the game...so i was relatively happy.
Oh....and Yaya was shite and should have been dragged long before he did.
