Is Bony's goal to shot ratio any better than Dzeko's

Why do they always have to talk about money? Why not stick to the football?

Superb performance tonight. Top of the group through with 2 matches to spare
Cant say anyone played badly tonight. Back 4 Brilliant
Sterling Navas & Ferdy1 were excellent. Even TLMLf put a decent shift in. Shame the scum got a late goal

Difficult to pick a MOTM....so many players really stepped up tonight, even TLMLF had a decent game!!
Bony, agree, he missed 2/3 chances he should really have scored, but he got a goal through great movement and his hold up play, chasing etc was great to see. We wouldn't have seen that with Dzeko.
Thought Navas was right up for the game as well.
However, for me, the biggest credit goes to Manuel P.
Good to hear him saying "I wasn't happy with our formation and play in the last few games, so I changed it". The 4-4-2 doesn't work in the PL or the CL and the fact he decided to play (AT LAST!!) one holding MF and let the others press higher up the pitch, is clearly a winning formula we can take into the PL if needed.
And to think, we'd won that game without KDB, Silva and Aguero.
Simply excellent tonight.

Fuck me It's took him long enough to realise what was patently obvious to the rest of us but yes he got it spot on tonight

Amazing really - we struggled to win at home against Norwich and played like superstars tonight. Thought Sagna was immense considering he's 32 - played like he's 23. They all stepped up - agreed. Bony did miss a lot of sitters but he does more holding up the ball and defending - like Blueboy said. Only thing that spoiled it for me is the horrendous strip they played in. Doesn't look like us. Horrible choice of away strip.

Amazing...scrolling through the papers online, you'd think we beat Stockport County in some dodgy cup.
For example, The Mirror, there's a tiny article towards the bottom of the main page - the rest is dominated by United's win, Ashley Young's dive, Pep and Arsenal.
The Mail - same as above.
One match report in The Independent.
Rag fest!

I heard that was Sevillas first loss at home in Europe....or did i mis-hear that.
City never get any credit in the papers blue, we all know it's about the Rags n Landon clubs.

Not sure of the facts, but it's something like they haven't lost in the last 10 CL home games.

Re: Sevilla v City - Live Thread
1st English team to win there
They beat Getafe & the mighty Batcelona in the last couple of weeks
Savage was very complimentary on the commentary team which made a nice change
If we play as well against Juve even the Rag press will have to take notice

The rags ARE a London club, aren't they?shakencity wrote:City never get any credit in the papers blue, we all know it's about the Rags n Landon clubs.
If we lose to Juve in the next game, doubtless the back pages will be full of reports on how we're shit in Europe and how we're just ruining the UEFA coefficient by being there (despite the fact we got as far as everyone else last season). Never mind that we've already qualified for the round of 16 along with Real Madrid already. Never mind that the rags are only top of their group thanks to other results going their way (and it's still anyone's to win, it's that close). Ignore the fact that both London clubs are bottom of their respective groups after being utterly useless - and that includes Arsenal's lucky win over Bayern.
Last night we played with a style, passion and teamwork that are hallmarks of all the teams that traditionally do well in the competition. So we don't get any press inches. Fuck 'em, we'll go on to top the group and get a useful draw in the next round while we read about how "sad" it is that the other three are out altogether.

Re: Sevilla v City - Live Thread
And Fox showed both United CL games - both against CSKA over here on their main channel. City were relegated to an obscure channel again I found by chance. Not really fair and equitable is it. The BBC were as bad last night - big spread on their page showing the Rags winning and we made a 3 line comment halfway down the page. Very biased.

Sorry wensdi but I love that green kit. think it is better than the away kit & still not cock a hoop over the 1st team strip the only thing going for the 1sts is the color. Still havn't seen the game yet as it was on at 3.30am & I have literally just got in from work . Can't wait to see if it was as good as most have said.

Bony was solid and shielded the ball well still needs to finish chances better but not a bad game from the big guy. Stirling was causing them all sorts of problems with his pace, they just couldn't cope with him and he finished a great move with a goal for a change. Navas, the Ferni's, Vinny Sagna they were all great.
