Can't see him leaving Chelsea myself, but i'd certainly be hoping City'd be interested in getting him if there was a chance.

Would rather we spent the buyout 50m euros and get Laporte.

Not sure how much Cahill would cost, guessing in the £30m region.

I was thinking along those lines this morning. Maybe get him on loan for the rest of the season. He gets his game time, Chelsea get rid of a disgruntled player for a few months.

We aren't really in competition this season.

Just come out and publicly say we want him on loan for the rest of the season and he'll be starting games. At least get him more unhappy and wanting to leave. Let him push the, to let him go.
