Kiev v City - Live Thread
OK....it's shit or bust now after Sunday. No excuses left for MP.
Team will be crucial for tonight. No ponderous wank after they've not played for 2 months.
Dump the useless twat....even though we know he won't. God knows, he owes us a MASSIVE game...will it be tonight???
For me, he'll go like this:
Hart
Zaba, Kompany, Otamendi, Clichy
Fernandinho, TLMLF, Kolorov
Sterling, Silva
Aguero

That's a strong 10 man team, Bluey
I'm not expecting miracles here... I'd settle for a 2-1 defeat with a view to turning it around at home - surely we can beat Kiev 1-0 in our own back yard!

We know it'll always be a 10 man team when that lazy fucker plays....but what's the point in trying to pick a team without him in it - he's NEVER dropped..
I'll be disappointed if we don't win tonight...the team and the manager owe the travelling fans especially, a result and a performance tonight - no excuses.

Re: Kiev v City - Live Thread
Yeah, bloody TLF... He's been dropped a few times this season, but to my recollection he's always started in the CL, so I agree, picking a team without him is sheer folly.
I'd like us to win, but as long as we don't embarrass ourselves, I'll be okay. If we come back with a 2 (or more) goal deficit and no away goals, I think we'll be screwed. I'm thinking 3-2 to Kiev would be even better for us, because I can't see them scoring 3 at ours. He said optimisically

3-1 for City for me.
Aguero 2 and TLMLF chips in with a deflected goal whilst sat on his arse on the edge of the area, after a lung-busting 10 yard run.

Hmmmm.... Sagna? Thought he was still unfit?
Good to see Clichy back at LB.
No real surprises, he sticks with the lazy fucker in behind Aguero.
Would rather have had Kelechi in a 2 than him playing....let's hope FOR ONCE IN 2 YEARS....he proves me wrong.

Re: Kiev v City - Live Thread
Zabba was shite v Chelsea so no surprise there, as was Fernando but we are limited in MF & with TLF in there we have to have someone fighting to win back the ball

Let's just hope Sergio and Merlin are on form, as is Sterling. Get a couple of first half goals, bring on Kelechi and Manu, no injuries for Sunday....is that hoping for too much???

I thought Fernando did okay against Chelsea. But then again, compared to Kola, Zaba, Demi and Willy, anyone would look like a football god...TMG wrote:Zabba was shite v Chelsea so no surprise there, as was Fernando but we are limited in MF & with TLF in there we have to have someone fighting to win back the ball

Re: Kiev v City - Live Thread
Reading the website....why the fuck do 'melons' write "Good to see TLMLF pushed up in his favourite position"?
His only favourite position is on his fucking arse!
He's played deep, sitting in a 2 in MF and behind Aguero loads...every time he's shite!
I know I have a horrible penchant for this lazy fucker - but do the majority of fans actually believe he makes a difference to our team??? What games do they actually watch?

Re: Kiev v City - Live Thread
What am I watching here?
Pressing? Energy? Winning 2nd balls...even winning balls we shouldn't?
I'm off to bed....it doesn't get better than that first half.
Apart from...we should have had 4, but I'll stop there.
Otamendi - I'll admit, has been excellent.
TLMLF...done fuck all apart from his knock down to Sergio, but hasn't given the ball away yet.
That 2nd goal was simply brilliant. Get another 2 more...rest the main players for Sunday and put this CL round to bed tonight.

We have neen excellent at Turnovers interceptions & gaining yardage
We are currently 2 touchdowns to zero ahead !

Unlucky but simple defending errors, no point in clearing with a header if you are going to pass it to the opposition.

Sums TLF up Dies virtually nothing in the 2nd half apart from head wide from 2 yards & then comes out with a stunner to put us firmly in the drivers seat
Get in !!

I reckon the difference is Vinny. How much better do we look with him on the pitch?
Happy with that, should be easy to get through to the QF now.

Re: Kiev v City - Live Thread
Jonathan Pearce and co-commentator wound me up last night..
Kiev had one chance in a 15 minute spell of City pressing "and this is a terrific spell for Kiev".. piss off. Kiev were pretty crap last night, mostly because we played well and partly because they had a winter break.
So the winter break everyone clamours for in England because it helps players etc etc etc..
is a hinderance to Kiev because we are playing them???

Sitters? They were from angles just inside the area.
A sitter, is a free header from 3 yards.

If we'd been as good as Real and Barca over the past few years, Serge would have the best goalscoring stats.....guaranteed.
