Just noticed we have exactly the same goals for and against as Leicester !
They have only lost 3 games all season though. We have lost 8  Mad

Along with leicester we are top scorers with 52 closely followed by the Spuds & Everton Shocked with 51

The Spuds have only conceded 24 goals in 29 matches. Pretty good
Watford, Saints, Rags & Arse have also conceded less than us

we do not have the strength in depth everyone else assumes we have. demichellis is past it for the prem Mango has been out far too long so to Vinny. That is as you say the main reason we need to bolster our defence, all our first team full backs are the wrong side of 30

True enough, but Leicester have conceded maybe one or two in a game, but still gone on to win.  Whereas how many times have we been hit for 3 or 4 this year?  Too bloody often.

Leicester didn't keep clean sheets at the start of the season. They didn't keep a clean sheet until 24th October, by which time they'd conceded 17 goals in 9 league games. Since then, they've conceded 12 in 19 PL games. They've shut up shop at the back. We conceded 0 in our first 5 games and then we've been rogered ever since.

Our manager and the defensive coaching staff surely has to take a huge portion of the blame too? These are not bad players we have even if one or too are a bit long in the tooth, it's the system used by MP and the defensive coaching that needs a long hard look IMO

The really funny bit here, though, is if Leicester win the league, thanks to the new UEFA ruling, they'll be in pot 1 for the CL draw!

I wonder how many teams who win the League get relegated the following season.....if Leicester do win the league, i reckon this could well happen.

They will lose Mahrez & Vardy this summer

I think City are the only team to have ever been relegated the season after winning the league

Well, we did it in 1938.  And we'd scored more goals than everyone else as well!

We're the only one in England, but these teams have all been relegated the season after winning as well:

AC Milan - Champions in 1979
FC Nurenberg - Champs in 68
Barry Town - Welsh league champs in 2003
Hapoel Tel Aviv - Champions in 1988
Herfolge - Danish champs in 2000
Juve were champions in 2006 and were relegated immediately!

Sweden have had four teams who were league champions who were relegated the following year:  Gothenburg, Helsingborgs, GAIS and Djurgardens

And Finland had back to back champions who were relegated the year after:  TPV won in 94, but were relegated in 95 when Haka Valkeakosi were winners, who were relegated in 96!

Were Juve not relegated for bribery or some other criminal offence?
