Re: City v Gunners - Live Thread
Nasri can't perform against Arsenal so probably jut as well he's not there. Kelechi deserves his chance, as he has deserved it all season.
Let's hope Aguero wants the golden boot again.

Apart from Angelino, do any of the others deserve to be there? Maybe Sterling...

Maybe Delph, Angelino and Sterling.
Also, Willy was the hero at Wembley....

And Ollie Holt's article is even more on point....this Manager sits there and does fuck all.
We can see Walcott effecting the game - but no, he sits there and does nothing.
2-1 after 65 mins DOES NOT mean you've won the game and done your job YOU FUCKING COCK!
Get Sterling on this left hand side you dick!

Re: City v Gunners - Live Thread
Bring on Pep and the Europa League....get rid of a load of shite we currently have in this squad.
At 2-1, we should have brought on Sterling immediately....force a 3rd goal....instead, he sits there and waits for an equaliser until he does something.
I can't wait for this season to be over....and this twat is gone. Fucking lethargic, boring Manager.
shit sorry, I meant flip, twat and fuck shouldn't be in this sentence.

Wifes birthday so couldnt watch. Can't say I am surprised.
Dawg is right though, but i do blame top brass. MP had nothing to play for. He should have gone the minute the cat was out the bag. Chelsea do this brilliantly.
Not over till the fat lady sings and will make me smile if rags fuck up on Tuesday after giving it large tonight, but seems Thursday night cup it is.

Just got in Missed the whole match but was very confident we would fuck it up
Gotta hope West Ham beat the filth on Tues but I doubt it & even if they do we will almost certainly lose to Swansea anyway. Pep has a massive job on his hands taking over this shambles

we've got 50 points in 32 games since our great start to the season. And so many injuries it's unbelievable. He keeps picking players that know they'll be out the door after one more game.

Re: City v Gunners - Live Thread
Bitterly disappointing isn't it?
Also disappointing is that every time I try to catch up with the live thread the language has become foul due to uncontrolled anger and I am referring only to the C word which is totally offensive. I don't care what language is used on here - I use it myself at times but I draw the line at that word. I thought this forum was for everyone man or woman just like JA606 - but they don't resort to it on that site because it's censored. I have a son who posts on here at my suggestion and frankly its becoming embarrassing now. Use it all you like at home in front of your family but please have some consideration unless you want to keep losing posters - then by all means have at it.

Re: City v Gunners - Live Thread
Sorry, I'll remove such a rich word in the English vocabulary from my posts in future...my apologies.
But before I remove my posts....why do people get so hung up on a word that they know nothing about?
FUCK seems to be OK, but CUNT isn't acceptable?
Is Cock OK for some???
Please moderators, just add some ground rules for those that are offended by words that some deem distasteful, without knowing what they actually stand for, or mean. It'd be useful.
Just before you do Mods, please let it be known that the C word means:
"Cuneiform", the most ancient form of writing, derives from "kunta" meaning "female genitalia" in Sumerian of ancient Iraq. "Kunta" is "woman" in several Near Eastern and African languages and a Mother Tongue that is being compiled by linguists today. It was also spelled "quna," which is the root of "queen." Since priestesses were known to be accountants/administrators of Temple of Inanna in Sumeria c.3100 B.C. when Cuneiform was first used, it is highly likely that cuneiform was "the sign of the kunta" who kept the books (clay tablets) for the temple economy/redistribution of wealth that evolved from communal economics of ancient mother-cultures.
So when an abuser calls a woman a "cunt" he is actually calling her a "queen who invented writing and numerals." Girls and women can thus reclaim the words in our language that have been used as weapons against us in emotionally explosive situations. The word "prostitute" (law giver of the temple) and "whore" (houri, Persian, which means a gorgeous semi-divine female that awaits men in the 7th Heaven) are some of the finest compliments a woman can be given.
But if it offends, I shall refrain from bothering to use such a descriptive word....as long as others remove all other swear words, which include 'fuck, fucking, cock, twat, wanker...and so on and so on....
Use it all you like at home in front of your family but please have some consideration unless you want to keep losing posters - then by all means have at it.
I actually take more offence to your insinuation Wensdi.

Re: City v Gunners - Live Thread
I am sure when Alan Pardew insulted Pellegrini with the word last season - he only meant to call him a queen. We all know it is a derogatory term - and I am surprised you have taken umbrage. You are a very intelligent guy BlueBoy and you make some excellent posts on here. If you cannot possibly see it from my perspective then fair enough. I am not a prude and can swear with the best of you - that word is just too offensive. If I had only known the true meaning of that rich word all these years.

Then maybe you would have used it more freely Wensdi, without being so restrictive to our freedom of speech.
However, for fear of upsetting the demographic on this forum, I'm happy to refrain from using the C word in my posts....well, I can't say I'll be happy, as language is a means of describing emotions as well, but maybe we should have some ground rules then moderators and be like JA606 - and then we can all post c$nt, fu8k, etc etc?
If I can't use a term that refers to the female genitalia - then 'twat' should certainly be banned. I will also object to the words - prick, cock, wanker, dick, bellend....to preserve the male voice against offensively-delivered words.

Re: City v Gunners - Live Thread
I'll stop writing it...simple as for the sake of the forum. But I'm loathed to.
I can't accept that I can write c$*t but I can't write it as it's meant. It's just Orwellian.
Why's Prick acceptable? Bellend? Wanker?
I just don't get why people are hung up on a word. I can totally understand the N word, as it was derived from slavery, which was deplorable....yet black guys in the public eye deem it OK to use it songs, on the street to each other like they are taking ownership of it - bizarre? Should we not be eradicating the word altogether from our language because of its origin - rather than stupid non-black people using it thinking that it's acceptable???
Yet, here we are discussing the C word...

Only appealed to your sense of decency Blueboy - but it seems to have fallen on stony ground. Not going to argue the point further. I do have a choice.
If as you say its a rich word in our heritage - why would you use it as the crudest, lowest form of insult you could heap on Pellegrini? Because it is just that and I think you have a lot of more appropriate words in your vocabulary.

I'm not going to play games now Bluey and justify my request by telling you what I may call a woman who has murdered her baby or a motorist who runs into my car and drives off. I also didn't have any other requests on any other words used on here - you brought up the caveat. I realize it's a football forum - with 99% of male posters but I enjoy the banter, the humour, the anguish and the joy in the posts and obviously the fact that we are all City supporters. What's a few curses between friends. Just not the C word in capitals repeated 3 times.

Still, maybe the MODS should set some ground rules - over to the MODS. Happy to abide them - or bugger off.

It's late and I'm too tired to deal with this now, but this isn't the first time I've had complaints asking for the language to be toned down a bit. We're all adults and surely we can all moderate ourselves without me or Blistering having to wade in and sort it out, but if I'm overestimating some of you then I suppose I've no option any more.
Bluey, you know full well how the C bomb is regarded in modern usage and no amount of history is going to change anything. We all know you weren't calling Pellers a queen, whether you mean a female head of a monarchy or a homosexual.
