Of course pep will say to jose "here have a free run at one of the most sought after players on the market". Todays rumour adds aubameyang to the list, Not a bad player to be linked with.

The thing is this;

We've been linked with the following players in the following positions - and we know Pep has said he wants 6-8 players. Which are realistic and which are paper talk?

That's 14 players without the usual outsiders we've read about.

We can't sign them all and we don't need all of them.

If we can get Laporte, I'd be happy to miss out on Stones with Denayer coming back.

Full backs, or an addition at full back (which Stones can play at - so throws the cat amongst the pigeons here), another top class MF and another top class winger/striker.

That's 6 realistic signings.

Pogba - yes, I'd love him at City and I think he would bring that youthful energy, class and some goals....but will he plump for Kroos over Pogba or Wilshere over Pogba? Maybe he will....however, at £70m+, Pogba's not expensive in this day and age....all depends on whether Pep likes him (maybe he's not overly impressed and he won't fit into our philosophy - but I'd be surprised if not).

Sane - £40m
Gundogan - £21m
Kroos - £30m
Wilshere - £30m
Rose - £25m
Laporte - £39m
Stones - £45m
Pogba - £85m

Take your pick....we've got the money, but we just have to trust in Pep.

That's about £315M which we can afford simply from the increase in the tv deal. Of course some would leave, but I don't see us getting too much for the likes of:
Kolarov - £5M
Zabba - £5M
Toure - £5M
Navas - £10M
Bony - £ 15M
Fernando - £10M

Maybe one CB (Otamendi or Mango) will go as well.

That's a net £285M and we still have Fernandinho and Nasri who could leave.

I say buy them all and worry about it afterwards.

Apparently Barca are in for him. Even with Pep, the Barca draw is very strong. If he wanted to stay in England, we'd have a chance, but why would he?

He was a junior at Barca also before signing for Arsenal as a 16 yr old. There is still about 40 players you havn't mentioned Blue that we have also been linked to. Since the 1st of May 4 keepers have been mentioned of which 1 has signed for Leicester. 11 defenders  1 signed for Bayern Munich. 17 midfielders of which we have signed 1 & 11 strikers. That is the list I have kept. I am sure as I don't get all the press  / internet gossip, rumors so there are probably loads more I have missed.

Cresswell from West Ham would be an excellent LB option. Mane from Sts is a hard worker, scores goals is quick, battered us this year & is a Pep kind of player
I can see us getting Wilshere as he is a grafter & English. Don't think Arsenal will fight for him too much as he is injury prone & a slag 
I wish we would look more at 'proven' PL players rather than those who have done well in German Spanish Italian leagues

I'd like Mahrez. Now Vardy looks like he'll sign for Arsenal, I can see clauses being triggered for Kante and Mahrez.

Leicester will be fooked next season.
