Decisions, Decisions? Empty Decisions, Decisions?

Post by BoyWithTheArabsCash Tue Aug 16, 2011 3:10 pm

With Tevez seemingly returning to the fold and Aguero not quite being match fit, who would you go with on Sunday? I'd start with the following;

.....................Hart...............

Richards Kompany Lescott Kolarov

.........DeJong..........Barry.......

..................Toure.................

......Balotelli............Silva........

.................Dzeko..................

Bring Aguero on at the hour mark for Balotelli and swap DeJong for Milner. Bring Tevez on with 15mins to go for Silva and there you have it, a comfortable 0 - 3 win. Well in my head it is anyway. What formation would you choose?

Looks good but I would still Play Johnson and balo and rest Edin.

isn't the golden rule for a striker not to drop them in a game after they scored?

Depends Moon if the ballance of the team, the team your playing against or its early season and you want to try other options come into play. Edin has scored twice in 2 games but perhaps other, away options, might be in Mancini's mind.

Three goals in three games for Edin Lee!

I think he should definitely start Dzeko next week, give him a chance to find some form and consistency off the back of his performance last night.

Probably wouldn't go for Balotelli away at Bolton, think Wright-Phillips could definitely do a job for us there, but that's probably wishful thinking. Nasri anyone? Very Happy

Bobby's away options last season seemed to be along the lines of "defend, defend, defend". I don't want to see that this season, and especially not against the likes of wanky.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: If you want to win games, make teams worry about playing you. If a team is scared to play, we stand a better chance of getting the result. We need to thrash Bolton and show everyone we mean business. Screw the Balo over Edin argument, I'd say we play Edin and Sergio up front with Silva just off them. Put the shits right up wanky, that would.

Is Clichy banned or something for this game?

Only change i'd make for this game is Milner in for AJ.

Dzeko has to start (he's scoring), Tevez and Aguero to come on in 2nd half.

I don't think he's banned, no. Maybe Kolarov is a better choice for his height, but even then I'd question it, as Clichy can get a hell of a lot of height on his jump.

Hart

Richards
Kompany
Lescott
Clichy

Johnson
DeJong/Barry (if fit)
Yaya
Silva

Dzeko
Balotelli

Aguero to start the second half for Dzeko - if he hasn't scored and see how he plays with 'nob-jockey'.

Tevez to come on for Johnson after 60 mins and go with:

Hart

Richards
Kompany
Lescott
Clichy

DeJong/Barry

Silva
Yaya

Balotelli
Tevez
Aguero

Exactly, that's arguably how United won the League last season - didn't play anywhere as well as they usually do, but teams fear them and give them too much respect. Bell was spot on when he said in the papers the other day we need to make Eastlands a fortress. Plus we need to score more goals than we did last season if we want to challenge for the title, so we're going to have to go for it.

Hart
Richards
VK
JoLo
Clichy
NDJ/Barry
Yaya, Silva
Tevez, Aguero, Dzeko

I say go for it and see what happens. If it clicks, we can keep going for teams throughout the season.

You cannot man mark Silva, Aguero, Tevez and make it work.
