Bonucci to sign new Juve deal
Looks like another player using PL interest to get a better deal.
If we aren't interested, say so nice and loud.

Re: Bonucci to sign new Juve deal
Not arsed if I'm honest...always thought it was a ridiculous amount of money for a 29/30 yr old defender, as good as he is.
I'd rather we get Stones and let Pep weave his magic with him and Denayer.

Re: Bonucci to sign new Juve deal
That's terrible news
We really need to sort out the CD & I fear for any 2 of Stones Denayer Mangala and Otamendi as a CB pairing
For me that's little better than last season
Stones was turd last season Denayer didn't look great what little I saw of him in the Euros & we already know the shortcomings of the other 2
I just pray that Vinny can get fit & stay fit but that's a slim chance

I still think pep will have the centre backs playing like centre backs & not make shift covering full backs. Pellegrini's naivety contributed heavily to the performance of our central defenders. The general performance of the players under pep should imho make them look like the players w were expecting not the rubbish they looked like last season.

Re: Bonucci to sign new Juve deal
I agree with you Oz. Pellegrini's wank tactics exposed the CB pairings, time and time again.
For example, and you can read them in the live match day threads...how many times did we read "Mangala having to come across and cover for a non existent Kolorov" or "why is Otamendi tackling players 40 yards from goal leaving his attacker free?" Pep will make sure these simple errors won't happen.

Sorry, still don't think Pep can make Mango into a decent CB....and we should cash in on him now.
Imo Ota n Denayer should be used as a back up to Vinny n Stones....and they'll definitely get plenty of game time.

what's not to like about mango? he is good in the air quick & strong in the tackle what has let him down up to now imo is positional awareness & rash in the challenge could also work on distribution, but these are things pep can work on.

Just don't rate him Oz.
That said, he could be off

I hardly think we face losing him. Well be glad to see the back of him.

I'd still rather keep Manga and bin off the headless liability - Otamendi.

Absolutely....though tbf, if Fernandinho plays well at CB, neither will get in ahead of him.
