Faouzi Ghoulam
With four full-backs over the age of 30, changes on the defensive flanks appear imminent in Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City squad. The Catalan decided not to upgrade those areas in the summer, focusing instead on improving his midfield and centre-back areas.
However, poor performances of late from Pablo Zabaleta and Aleksandar Kolarov, in their natural positions, appear to have intensified City’s search for new full-backs with several rumoured to be on the radar.
The latest to be linked with a switch to the Etihad today is Napoli’s talented Algerian left-back, Faouzi Ghoulam.
According to Dean Jones’ ‘Insider Buzz’ at Bleacher Report, 25-year-old Ghoulam is a top target for City, who believe he could suit Guardiola’s flexible style.
Prising Ghoulam away from Napoli in January could prove difficult, with the Italian club known to be notoriously stubborn negotiators. 67-year-old Aurelio De Laurentiis recently revealed that he turned down a €58 million bid for defender during the summer, an indication of how difficult it could be to tempt the Naples club into selling Ghoulam midway through the season.
A move for Ghoulam may be more realistic next summer when the Blues are expected to invest heavily again to further provide Guardiola with the squad he needs to conquer both domestically and in Europe.

Bellerin looks a 'steal' at £40M compared to this guy I've never heard of. Much younger too. And faster.

Re: Faouzi Ghoulam
Bellerin is a right back this ghoulam is supposedly a left back. Read today somewhere that we could be in for Alaba for 40 million & Tiago silva maybe leaving PSG, wouldn't mind him.
